The death of Bray Wyatt left a difficult void to fill in the world of professional wrestling. Beyond his creative legacy and connection with the fans, many stories remained untold and rivalries that never materialized. One of them could have involved Joe Gacy.
In an interview with VoxCatch, the WWE wrestler and member of the Wyatt Sicks revealed that the possibility of working on an angle with Bray Wyatt had been mentioned to him before his death. However, the plan never came to fruition or was officially discussed with him.
I was told there could have been something in the works with Bray before his passing. It was never officially acknowledged to me, before the unfortunate event. So it never happened.
Gacy's testimony adds to other ideas that were left behind, although this one is special because many pointed to Gacy as "the new Bray Wyatt" while he was part of the NXT roster. Karrion Kross, for example, revealed some time ago that there were also plans for a television project with Wyatt, which ultimately did not come to fruition. These accounts give an idea of all that could have been and was lost with his sudden departure.
Currently, Joe Gacy is one of the members of Wyatt Sicks, the group that was formed to continue Bray Wyatt's creation in WWE. Gacy and his partner Dexter Lumis defeated The Street Profits at Clash in Paris. However, far from ending the rivalry between them, after what happened on SmackDown, it seems that the story against Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford will continue.
