Countdown to WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025

Michael Cole, Wade Barrett, and Big E welcome us to the Wrestlepalooza Countdown Show. After that, Tyrese Haliburton joins the commentary panel.

We see a promotional video for the match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar. Both wrestlers share their feelings before the PLE. "If John Cena wants to retire in a memorable way, I will retire him," says "The Beast". "I believe Brock Lesnar when he says he wants to end my tour early, but I will do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening," Cena states. "I'm going to retire John Cena. I want to do it, and that's exactly what will happen at Wrestlepalooza," says Brock to conclude the video.

The Usos meet The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) backstage. Tension between the two teams escalates quickly, at which point numerous officials and security members intervene to separate them. Adam Pearce orders them to be escorted in opposite directions.

Jackie Redmond interviews the Raw General Manager backstage. He acknowledges that dealing with The Usos and The Vision drains too much of his energy. So he has decided that this match will have a stronger referee, capable of controlling the animosity between both teams. LA Knight interrupts the interview. "It looks like that could be me," says "The Megastar". "YEAH," Pearce responds before leaving. LA Knight makes it clear that he has no intention of intervening in the match. As far as he's concerned, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Jey Uso can go to hell -Jimmy not so much- since his only job will be to count to three. And if anyone dares to say "Uce," he will ring the bell. "There is only one man who can do this job. There is and can only be one, with everyone saying L-A-Knight. YEAH," says "The Megastar" to conclude the interview.

Cathy Kelley interviews Drew McIntyre before the show. Kelly asks him about his attack on Cody Rhodes five weeks ago. Drew insists that "The American Nightmare" was ready to attack him after their match ended. That's why he decided to attack first as a defensive act. Something that should be easy to understand, so he hopes not to be asked about it anymore. Kelley reminds him that Rhodes and the Scotsman have had parallel careers, with the exception that Cody won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania in front of 70,000 people, while McIntyre did it in an empty arena. Did that affect him? McIntyre points out that five years ago the world was going through a very tough time. WWE was one of the escapes for fans, and he was in the same place Cody is now. Drew was the hero the company needed at that time (during the COVID-19 pandemic era), but things change. "I don't want that title. I need it," says McIntyre. He also makes it clear that he doesn't envy Rhodes in the slightest, whom he describes as a liar, someone who has learned to kiss asses as well as John Cena does. Additionally, Cody knows the truth: that the Scotsman is his biggest threat. Finally, Kelley asks him how he will feel if he wins the WWE Championship at Wrestlepalooza. McIntyre remains silent. "Redemption," he replies to conclude the interview.

Triple H joins the commentary panel for the second hour, with Jackie Redmond, Peter Rosenberg, and Big E. The WWE Content Chief reflects on the company's recent agreements with Netflix and ESPN before giving his opinion on some of the main matches on the Wrestlepalooza card.

Cathy Kelley interviews Stephanie Vaquer backstage. The Chilean admits she's a little nervous, but she will use that feeling as motivation. Tonight she will have the most important match of her career. "Tonight I will become champion," concludes "The Dark Angel".

Corey Graves interviews CM Punk and AJ Lee before the show. AJ Lee describes her return to WWE as "surreal". Also, she did it in Chicago, the city where she won her first championship, so it's somewhat poetic. CM Punk points out that the current WWE is very different from what it was a decade ago. His wife led an entire generation, so he is proud that she can return to see the fruits of her work. AJ Lee ensures that the women's division has become everything she wanted back then, although now she feels she relates to her "daughters" backstage. Graves notes that during the absence of CM Punk and AJ Lee, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have been leading their respective divisions. CM Punk makes it clear that he doesn't tell anyone how to do things following a vision. He just wants to help talent to be better than him. CM Punk also values the support of his wife, pointing out that when darkness invades him, he just has to look by his side. Finally, AJ Lee admits she was a little nervous on her debut day, but she believes that is the true nature of bravery, being nervous and still doing things. "Jumping in headfirst. I guess you have to be a little crazy to take a risk like that, but if anyone can do that job, it's me," says AJ Lee. Graves thanks both for their time and ends the interview.

The War & Treaty sing "God Bless America" to end the Countdown Show.

WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025

WWE Wrestlepalooza on Netflix begins!

We see the arrival at the venue of some of tonight's protagonists: The Usos, The Vision in full, CM Punk and AJ Lee, IYO SKY, Stephanie Vaquer, Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntyre.

The venue screen shows an introductory video for WWE's debut on ESPN.

Triple H welcomes us from the center of the ring. "Can you feel that, Indianapolis?" asks the WWE Content Chief as he listens to the audience's reception. "What you are about to witness is the ultimate form of entertainment and sports," he adds. Triple H addresses WWE fans, but also those watching a company show for the first time. Triple H welcomes them to ESPN. "Let me welcome you to Wrestlepalooza!" exclaims Triple H before the fireworks thunder in the venue.

An SUV arrives at the venue's parking lot. From inside descends Pat McAfee. He is greeted by Tyrese Haliburton and Triple H before heading to the stage. Pat greets the fans as he heads to the English commentary table, where he embraces his great friend Michael Cole. Pat takes a seat as the fans chant his name.

Brock Lesnar makes his entrance. With "The Beast" in the ring, the fans ask for John Cena. He makes his entrance alongside dozens of children, all dressed like him. John says goodbye to the kids before running into the ring, where he finishes his entrance. Alicia Taylor introduces the two opponents, starting with "The Greatest of All Time". Meanwhile, Lesnar remains on the apron. Taylor is about to introduce him, but...

Ladies and gentlemen!

Paul Heyman appears on stage to energetically introduce Brock Lesnar.

The audience boos him for it.

The kids in the stands look away, refusing to witness the punishment "The Beast" is inflicting on their hero. John tries to get up once more, only to receive a fifth F-5. "The Best" executes a sixth F-6 and covers his opponent. 1..2..3.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

Brock steps out of the ring for a triumphant lap around ringside. Lesnar stops to look at John. Suddenly, he decides to return. The referee tries to stop him but ends up receiving an F-5. Brock grabs the official by the waistband and throws him disdainfully out of the ring before executing his finisher on Cena. The audience boos. Meanwhile, some children cry inconsolably. Once satisfied, Brock returns backstage.

Meanwhile, a pained John leaves the ring on his own. "Thank you, Cena!" chant the fans as "The Greatest of All Time" walks with difficulty down the entrance ramp. John stops to "give his heart" to the audience as a gesture of gratitude. After that, he continues his way to the Gorilla Position.

LA Knight makes his entrance to serve as a special referee in the next match.

The Usos make their entrance coming down the audience stands. Jey asks the fans to take out their smartphones and turn on the flashlights to accompany them. The Samoans "yeet" with the audience as they head to the ring. Once there, the fans ask for an encore. Jey grants their wish.

The Vision are the last to make their entrance. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed head to the ring accompanied by Paul Heyman.

Jimmy receives the tag. The Usos combine perfectly against Bronson. He recovers to knock down Jimmy. After that, he tags Bron. He applies several corner spears to Jimmy, whom he expels from the ring.

LA Knight orders him to drop the chair, a moment that Jimmy takes advantage of to hit the Australian and snatch the chair. Now it's Jimmy who tries to use the chair against Bronson. LA decides to turn around, letting Jimmy use the chair against Reed. Bron comes to his partner's rescue, at which point Jey jumps on both from the top of one of the corners.

The action returns to the ring, where Reed carries Bron on his back to apply a reinforced splash on Jimmy. 1..2..NO. Jimmy ends up at ringside once again. Bronson goes after him to hit him with a metal chair. "We want tables!" chant the fans. The Australian pretends to grant their wish, only to mock them.

Jey retrieves a table from under the ring to bring it into the ring. Jey and Jimmy place it in the center of the ring when they are attacked by their opponents. Reed supports the table in one of the corners ignoring LA Knight. Bronson tries to apply a spear on Jey, but he stops it with a superkick. LA Knight orders him to turn around, allowing Jimmy to hit the Australian and snatch the chair. Now it's Jimmy who tries to hit Reed with the chair. Jey goes back for Breakker, whom he hits with the chair. However, it rebounds and hits his head, causing it to bleed.

Jey continues to hit his opponents, but the blood flowing from his wound makes him lose visibility. Bronson takes advantage to surprise him with a spear. Breakker prepares to execute a new spear against Jey. His brother tries to prevent it, but both end up receiving the finisher, destroying the table in the process. Reed finishes Jey with a Tsunami. 1..2..3.
