Shane McMahon is always remembered by the fans. For decades, "Shane O'Mac" was a key player both inside and outside the ring, so it's no surprise that voices have emerged calling for his induction into the Hall of Fame.
The most recent request came from his own son, Declan McMahon, who used his X account to send a direct message: "Induct Shane McMahon into the Hall of Fame!" The post coincided with the official announcement of Stephanie McMahon as the first member of the class of 2026, revealed at WrestlePalooza.
Since his departure from the company after WrestleMania 39, Shane McMahon has stayed away from wrestling, except for rumors of a possible move to AEW after meeting with Tony Khan, a negotiation that never materialized. However, his name continues to resonate among fans and talents alike as an inevitable figure for the Hall of Fame.
Shane McMahon will always be remembered as the "rebel son" of the McMahon family, but also as an executive who helped expand WWE globally. From his beginnings in the 90s, he went from being a referee and on-screen authority figure to starring in some of the most spectacular matches of the Attitude Era and beyond. Although not a full-time wrestler, he earned the respect of the audience for risking his body in extreme spots and delivering unforgettable moments.
Among his most iconic moments are his brutal match against Kurt Angle at King of the Ring 2001, his showdown with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania X-Seven, and the leap from the top of the cell against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. These moments, combined with his role in the company's executive leadership, make many consider his induction into the Hall of Fame inevitable, following the recently confirmed path for his sister Stephanie McMahon.
