In a recent interview, Ludwig Kaiser has revealed the reasons behind the unexpected separation from Gunther. The German wrestler, known for his years-long association with the "Ring General," surprised fans by disclosing that the breakup of their alliance was not a decision made by the company, but one that he and Gunther took to pursue their individual careers.
Speaking on the Kennt Jeder podcast, Kaiser admitted that the separation was an idea that arose from their own friendship and ambition. "Gunther and I are one of the most dominant alliances of the modern era, but it was often taken for granted. I don't think I've ever said this publicly, but it was Gunther's and my idea," he affirmed. He explained that, despite their shared history dating back to their days in wXw as Ringkampf, they felt the need to grow beyond their tag team role.
By remaining in Gunther's shadow, Kaiser felt that his career as "the tag team guy" had a limit. Both understood that change was inevitable for him to reach his potential. For Kaiser, this decision was a risk, a bet on himself to prove his worth as an individual superstar in WWE.
In addition to their separation, Kaiser also openly criticized WWE's behind-the-scenes content. With an old-school mentality, he revealed that he is not a fan of series like Unreal. He confessed to having watched only one episode because he didn't want to "see Triple H sitting there with the producers" and ruin the magic, comparing it to a magic act where the trick is revealed in advance.
