This evening, CMLL celebrated a new edition of Family Sunday, a show that commemorated National Wrestling Day. During the event, the company's legend, Blue Panther, achieved a historic victory over Último Guerrero to become the new MLW World Openweight Champion.

The match, which lasted about 15 minutes, was a test of classic wrestling and a showcase of the best moves from both superstars. The intense action led fans to chant 'This is wrestling!' on several occasions, especially after a spectacular dive from the top rope by Blue Panther onto Último Guerrero.

The end of the match came after Blue Panther slammed Último Guerrero onto the mat from the top rope, securing the three count and becoming the new MLW Champion. After the match, Último Guerrero showed his respect for his opponent by shaking his hand, handing him the championship, and carrying him on his shoulders as a sign of recognition.

Blue Panther, 65 years old, is originally from Gómez Palacio, Durango, and has been a key figure in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre since 1991. His triumph tonight marks a milestone in his career, as it is his first championship in 20 years. His last title was in 2005 when he won the World Tag Team Championships of CMLL alongside the legend Atlantis.
