Mickie James will have her well-deserved place in TNA history. During a live edition of Notsam Wrestling Live! on SiriusXM, the company's president, Carlos Silva, surprised the wrestler during an interview with Sam Roberts and Tommy Dreamer by announcing that she will be inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame.
James, a five-time Knockouts World Champion and an 11-time World Women's Champion between WWE and TNA, will receive the honor on Sunday, October 12th during Bound For Glory, an event that will take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. With this distinction, she becomes the fourth Knockout to be inducted, following Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, and Traci Brooks. She is also the first confirmed name for the class of 2025 of the Hall of Fame, which has recognized 16 figures and groups since 2012.
With over two decades of experience, James has built one of the most impressive resumes in women's wrestling. Her match against Deonna Purrazzo at Bound For Glory 2021 was named Knockouts Match of the Year, and throughout her career, she has been awarded multiple times as Wrestler of the Year. Outside the ring, she also made a mark in country music, where her song "Hardcore Country" became an anthem and she was recognized in the Native American Music Awards Hall of Fame.
Bound For Glory 2025 is shaping up to be a historic evening, with names like Jeff and Matt Hardy, Team 3D, Moose, Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, AJ Francis, and the Nemeth brothers on the card. The Knockouts division will also be full of action with Indi Hartwell, Masha Slamovich, Tessa Blanchard, and all the members of Elegance Brand ready to compete.
