Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins share a tense face-off on WWE Raw

Cody Rhodes was the one in charge of opening tonight's WWE Raw show, receiving a great ovation from the audience. With his sights set on a new Crown Jewel ring, The American Nightmare headed to the ring stating that he will achieve it if he defeats the Heavyweight World Champion at the Perth event. However, his speech was interrupted by Seth Rollins, who made his entrance alongside The Vision.

After asking his companions to stay on the ramp, Rollins tried to speak, but the boos and cheers in favor of Cody prevented it. The champion pointed out that his mind has been on Crown Jewel since the end of Wrestlepalooza, as he expects to face Rhodes, since both are at their best. 

Rhodes replied that Seth has made questionable decisions, but also acknowledged that he helped him change his life at WrestleMania and that their match at Hell in a Cell was crucial. Cody added that Rollins was also instrumental in his victory at WrestleMania XL for him to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. 

The confrontation reached its peak when Rollins showed Cody the watch he gave him at WrestleMania XL. Seth assured that his vision is the right one and told Rhodes that he will have to prove that he is the Alpha of the company at Crown Jewel. Cody, on his part, reminded Rollins that he has not been able to defeat him in their three previous encounters. In the end, Bron and Bronson blocked Cody's path, but at Rollins' command, they let him pass, ending the segment.
