John Cena and AJ Styles will face off at WWE Crown Jewel. What started as a challenge on the Internet has just become one of the most anticipated matches of the event. Triple H has been in charge of making the announcement through the company's social media just a few minutes ago.
Thus, two of the best wrestlers of the 21st century will face each other in a final showdown at the Perth event on October 11th. A match, on the other hand, highly requested by the fans, who have finally seen their wish fulfilled. It is worth noting that this is the only confirmed appearance of Cena in the month of October.
John Cena and AJ Styles have shared the ring on multiple occasions, leaving some memorable matches, such as their showdown at Royal Rumble 2017, where "The Greatest of All Time" equaled Ric Flair's record of sixteen world championships after defeating "The Phenomenal One" in one of the most highly rated matches in modern WWE history.
Their last one-on-one took place on the February 27, 2018 episode of SmackDown, which also ended with Cena's victory. Both men shared the ring for the last time at this year's Royal Rumble edition, which ended with the surprising victory of Jey Uso.
Crown Jewel 2025 will take place on October 11th at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Fans can witness the show live from the venue, or through its broadcast in the United States on ESPN and internationally on Netflix. Below, we leave you with the updated event card.
