Masha Slamovich has publicly spoken out following the accusations of domestic violence against her, which arose this week on social media. The TNA wrestler released a statement in which she takes responsibility for what happened in a relationship that she herself defined as "toxic and mutually destructive."

On Tuesday, TNA confirmed the opening of an internal investigation after a friend of her ex-partner posted images with alleged physical abuse marks and text messages that also pointed to emotional abuse. As a consequence, the company removed the promotion of the Knockouts title match that Slamovich had scheduled for Victory Road from its website.

Facing the situation, the wrestler posted a statement on social media:

Until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other a lot and, in private moments, we did not know how to treat each other with the respect we deserved. I take responsibility and feel sorry, ashamed, and regretful for the role I played in how things unfolded. I have sought help to reflect and face conflicts in a more mature and healthy way. I apologize to those I disappointed, including my ex-partner. I hope they can heal. This will be my only statement on the matter.

The statement comes amid a complicated climate for TNA, which is still evaluating the wrestler's situation and has not yet officially announced if there will be a replacement at Victory Road. The decision to withdraw all promotion of the match reflects the company's caution in a matter that has sparked widespread debate among fans and professionals.

Slamovich's case adds to a series of recent situations in wrestling where companies have acted swiftly in the face of accusations of this seriousness. The outcome of TNA's internal investigation will determine the wrestler's immediate future within and outside the company.
