AXS TV and TNA+ aired last night episode number 1105 of TNA iMPACT!, recorded from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting the victory of Steve Maclin and Mr. Anderson over Frankie Kazarian and Jake Something in the main event of the night.
- Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater defeated The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel) (with Myron Reed) in a tag team match. Slater hit a Swanton 450 on Miguel for the win. After the match, Reed entered the ring to confront Slater before his title match at Victory Road.
- Gia Miller interviewed Frankie Kazarian and Jake Something before their tag team match against Steve Maclin and Mr. Anderson. Kazarian claimed to feel like a divine being, using his partner for the night as an example, who has decided to follow him to finally become "something". This decision confirms that Kazarian is the path to truth and enlightenment. Regarding their opponents, Kazarian promised Maclin that he will take away the TNA International Championship at Victory Road. "As for you, Mr. Anderson. Remember that I brought you back to TNA, and I will be the one to take you out. And you will remember that name. Mister Kazarian! ..... Kazarian!", exclaimed "The King of TNA" to end the interview.
- A pre-recorded video in the parking lot of the venue showed a furious Eric Young approaching Santino Marella to demand a match against Joe Hendry. Young sought revenge against the Scotsman after he cost him the victory in the last weekly episode of TNA iMPACT! On the other hand, the "TNA Authority Director" hinted that he should fire Young for attacking the referee after that match. "You don't have the balls to fire me. You don't have the power to fire me. You're just a corporate puppet of this company. Do it or else...", threateningly responded the former World Champion. Marella reiterated his position of not accepting the demands of the wrestler. However, that morning he had received an email from the TNA management requesting him to schedule a match between Joe Hendry and Eric Young. "That's right, puppet. Go and do your job", said a smiling Young as Marella left the scene.
- Victoria Crawford defeated Jody Threat thanks to a distraction caused by Tessa Blanchard, who made her return to TNA after her suspension.
- Joe Hendry cut a backstage promo, where he recalled the history he shares with Eric Young, the person who taught him so much about the business in TNA and who has now become a conspiracy theorist. The Scotsman promised Young that at Victory Road he will show him that the world still chants "We believe".
- The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and Alisha Edwards) delivered a backstage promo to address Order 4, their opponents at Bound For Glory. Before that, at Victory Road, Moose and Mustafa Ali will face off one-on-one. Moose proposed to the leader of Order 4 that both leave their respective families out of the match. This way, two things will happen. One, he will kick his ass while proving why he is the face of this franchise. And two, he will show that you can trust the system ("Trust The System").
- Mance Wagner emerged victorious in a battle royal to qualify for the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory.
Elimination order:
- Mike Santana starred in a promotional video before his match against Trick Williams at Bound For Glory.
Santino Marella presented the final negotiations for the tag team match that will take place at Bound For Glory. Team 3D (Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley) and The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) made their way to the ring, where they were greeted with chants of "This is awesome!" and "TNA!, TNA!". Bully Ray showed respect towards The Hardys for continuing to compete after so many years. Matt, on the other hand, pointed out that in that ring were two of the best teams of all time before confessing that they needed this match. "We need to face you and beat you", he said. Ray recalled that Team 3D has made a lot of history - and many crazy things - with The Hardys, with D-Von wondering how Jeff is still alive. He acknowledged that he has always lived on the edge, but his faith in Christianity helped him to be reborn.
Bully made it clear that they were there for business, and that The Hardys needed them. And in the end, that was the real truth. "Yes. The truth is that we need you. We need you at Bound For Glory. We need to know if, when we win, you will shake our hands and say: 'Hardy Boyz, you are the best of all time'", Matt responded before stating that they will put the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line. Ray pointed out that there are great teams in TNA that deserve that opportunity. Matt agreed, but this time they needed to put them on the line against two Hall of Famers and one of the most decorated teams in history. Santino Marella asked the fans if they wanted to see the tag team gold on the line at Bound For Glory, receiving a massive "yes" in response. Thus, the "Authority Director" added the stipulation to the contract.
Ray assured that they will shake Jeff and Matt's hands if they manage to beat them at Bound For Glory. Then, they will say: "You have surpassed us. You are the best". Otherwise, their titles will return to The Dudleyville. At that moment, D-Von whispered something in his partner's ear. "Our answer is no," Bully said then. "We want tables!", chanted the fans. Bully recalled the legendary match that pitted them against The Hardys at Royal Rumble 2000 at Madison Square Garden, in the first-ever "Tables Match" for teams in history. A match they should have won. However, the victory went to Jeff and Matt. That hurt Ray and Dudley a lot. So much so that it still hurts them today. "If we do this, let's do it right. The Hardys vs. Team 3D. Bound For Glory, for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, in a Tables Match!", exclaimed Bully.
With the crowd going wild, Marella added the stipulation to the match contract to make it official. After that, he asked the four men to sign the document. However, D-Von tore it apart. Bully pointed out that they didn't need to sign any contract, just a handshake. Both teams stepped forward to shake hands. This led to the end of the segment.
- Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, The Good Hands, Tasha Steelz, and Agent 0) carried out a backstage promo. Ali stated he was tired of the lack of respect, addressing The System to indicate that every action has its consequences. And these will be felt at Bound For Glory, when both factions face off in a Hardcore Cold War. Mustafa recalled the rules of the battle, which will start with two men, with the rest of the competitors entering gradually. This means that one team will have numerical superiority for several segments of the match. Ali then accepted Moose's challenge for Victory Road, in exchange for adding a stipulation: the winner of the match will gain the advantage at Bound For Glory. Mustafa concluded his promo by promising that once they are done with The System, there will be only one person to believe in: Mustafa Ali. At that moment, The System as a whole appeared on the scene to have a silent confrontation with their enemies.
- Steve Maclin and Mr. Anderson defeated Frankie Kazarian and Jake Something in a tag team match in the main event of the night. In the final moments of the match, Mr. Anderson hit the Mic Check on Something to take him out of the equation, leaving Maclin free to execute his K.I.A. on Kazarian.
