TNA Wrestling invaded NXT in the latest weekly episode of the WWE developmental brand. Many talents from the Anthem Media company, including familiar faces like Matt Cardona, The IInspiration, Cedric Alexander, and Ash By Elegance, were part of the invasion. However, some were left out, some of them at the express request of WWE. However, this does not seem to be the case for Masha Slamovich.
Despite the fact that the former world champion has been removed from TNA's television programming after being accused of domestic violence by her ex-partner, the truth is that she was never scheduled to appear on NXT as she was not in the United States at that time. This was pointed out by Mike Johnson of PWInsider in a recent report.
"It has been assumed that WWE removed Masha Slamovich from the TNA segment aired this past Tuesday on the NXT television show due to the accusations against her. However, PWInsiderElite.com has learned that Slamovich has been in Europe this week (and, as of this morning, is still there, although we are informed that she will return to the United States soon), so she was never scheduled to be in Orlando. It is entirely understandable to think that WWE would have wanted to remove her from the segment, but she was never physically planned to be in the United States," Johnson wrote.
Tonight, a new weekly episode of TNA iMPACT! will be broadcast, recorded a few weeks ago, in which Slamovich participated in a tag team match with The IInspiration. However, this match has been removed from the episode, as well as all mentions of her scheduled title match for Victory Road.
"TNA has reorganized tonight's television episode to remove the six-woman tag team match Knockouts, as it is no longer advertised, and Slamovich was going to participate in it. She is no longer expected to be present at this week's PPV or at the TV tapings. It is not yet known if Ash by Elegance will participate in the PPV with another opponent. One source claimed she will not compete, although others have not confirmed it. So, we will have to wait and see what happens," the journalist wrote.
