Dirty Boxing Championship (DBX) continues to innovate in the world of combat sports and has confirmed that its next big event, DBX 4, will take place on Thursday, October 30th at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee.

The main event of the evening will feature the professional boxing debut of Olympic medalist and former WWE superstar Gable Steveson, who will face the experienced Billy Swanson. Steveson comes in with strong momentum after his MMA debut, where he secured a dominant victory by ground-and-pound in the first round. He made the following comment for DBX:

Every time I compete, I seek to grow. Boxing is a new challenge and DBX is the perfect stage to continue testing myself and show my evolution as a fighter.

The event will also mark the first appearance of Jon Jones in Tennessee. The former UFC champion and co-owner of DBX will headline an exclusive meet & greet with limited tickets, offering fans the opportunity to meet one of the most influential names in the history of mixed martial arts.

Steveson, 25, had been released from WWE in May 2024, after signing a contract in 2021 that allowed him to balance wrestling with his college career. In an interview given last November, he made it clear that his time with the company was not definitive.

WWE simply wasn't the right time. I still wanted to compete and they knew that. I have no hard feelings, and maybe someday, if the stars align, it could be a great opportunity to try again.

This successful MMA debut puts Steveson in a new sports orbit. His case is reminiscent of other wrestlers who have successfully transitioned from amateur or professional wrestling to the octagon, and it will be interesting to see if he can replicate the transition that figures like Brock Lesnar once made.
