The rivalry between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley will reach a new level of violence when they face off in an I Quit Match at AEW WrestleDream 2025. The match was made official during the September 27 episode of AEW Collision, after weeks of escalating tensions between them.
WrestleDream will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, with a scheduled start time of 7:00 pm ET, returning to the usual evening schedule, and will be broadcast worldwide via pay-per-view. The event promises to be a highlight in the AEW season.
The recent origin of their feud dates back to their match at AEW All Out 2025, where Moxley defeated Allin in a coffin match. However, the violence did not end there: Allin escaped from the coffin and, in a spectacular and macabre twist, attacked Moxley from behind, put him in a body bag, doused him with accelerant, and set him on fire.
The provocation escalated even further when Allin appeared days later on AEW Dynamite carrying a flamethrower to scare off the Death Riders and publicly challenge Moxley to an I Quit match. The tension between them has been building since that moment, with verbal confrontations and promises of a definitive clash.
What was once a bloody and stipulation-filled rivalry has escalated to something more extreme: the "I Quit" match will require one of the two to literally say "I Quit" to surrender, raising the stakes. In other words, WrestleDream will be the stage where this war between Allin and Moxley could finally be resolved.
