The recent tapings of TNA Impact in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) left worrying news for WWE fans. Ridge Holland, NXT star, faced off against Moose in a clash between two heavyweights from each brand, but the match ended unexpectedly.

According to attendees at the venue, Holland landed awkwardly on his leg during a sequence and couldn't continue. The referee immediately stopped the match and awarded the victory to Moose. Both Moose and the official escorted Holland to the backstage area as the British wrestler couldn't put weight on his foot. The audience applauded Holland in a show of support as the wrestler left the venue.

This wouldn't be the first serious injury of his career. In October 2020, he suffered a left ankle fracture with dislocation and a torn patellar tendon, which kept him out of the ring for nine months until his return in July 2021.

If confirmed, this absence would sideline Holland from NXT and any future plans within the WWE and TNA invasion storyline. Additionally, it would also impact his involvement in WWE Evolve, where he had become one of the standout names of the new brand.

The recordings of TNA iMPACT! included many matches, moments, and a title change that we won't reveal in this news piece. These matches and moments will be seen soon on television and read about in the usual coverage on Solowrestling.
