New Japan Pro-Wrestling has revealed the matches that will headline its next big event: King of Pro Wrestling 2025, which will take place on Monday, October 13th at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. The main event will feature the defense of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship by Zack Sabre Jr. against Konosuke Takeshita.
Prior to that event, the company will hold two stops on the Road to King of Pro Wrestling tour, with shows on October 6th at the Korakuen Hall and on October 11th in Saitama. Both events will also feature title defenses, including the Junior Championship and the Junior Tag Team Championships.
At the main event at Ryōgoku Kokugikan, in addition to Sabre Jr. vs Takeshita, titles such as the IWGP Global, the IWGP Tag Team, the NEVER Openweight, and the NJPW World TV will be on the line. The night will also mark the return of Hirooki Goto to action.
