Tonight on Monday Night Raw, the current top champions of the company, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, engaged in a tense verbal confrontation on the road to Crown Jewel. Additionally, during the segment, Cody planted doubt in Seth about the loyalty of Paul Heyman and his allies from The Vision.
Seth dismissed the past and focused on Crown Jewel, where, according to him, the future of the industry will be decided. The champion proclaimed himself the sole leader of WWE, citing his mentorship of talents like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. However, his promo was interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who immediately questioned Rollins' vision and leadership ability over the company.
Rhodes escalated the confrontation by directly asking if Seth had control over the actions of his allies. Cody cast doubt on whether the appearance of Brock Lesnar or the attack on Roman Reigns had been orchestrated by Paul Heyman behind the champion's back. Rollins, on the defensive, insisted that he authorized every action, despite the fans' laughter at his apparent lack of control.
The confrontation became even more personal when Cody brought up WrestleMania XL, exclaiming: "I thought you were my friend!" Seth delivered the emotional final blow, stating that they were never friends and that he only supported him at WrestleMania for his own convenience. Rollins left the ring promising to write a new future after Crown Jewel, one that only he can lead, closing the segment with one last tense look at Rhodes.
