WWE continues to pave the way towards Crown Jewel, the last PPV that the company will hold overseas in 2025. An event that will feature two major "champion vs. champion" matches with the Crown Jewel Championships on the line. One of them will be contested by Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, whose rivalry has been developing on both Raw and SmackDown. Something that will continue in the next episode of the blue brand.
This was pointed out by Nick Aldis, who in a video posted on social media, has announced that Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will face The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) this Friday on SmackDown. It is worth remembering that "The Viper" helped the Undisputed WWE Champion fend off an assault by Breakker and Reed in last week's episode of the blue brand.
Last night, on Raw, Seth Rollins confirmed that it was he who ordered Bronson and Bron to attend the SmackDown show to send a message to Rhodes. He, in turn, planted the seed of doubt in "The Visionary", hinting that Paul Heyman is the one really pulling the strings of their faction. The tension between the top champions of WWE continues to rise as they play a particular psychological game that could give them the advantage at Crown Jewel.
The next episode of Friday Night SmackDown will take place on Friday, October 3 at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Fans will be able to witness this event live from the venue, or through its broadcast on USA Network in the United States and on Netflix internationally. Below, we leave you with the event's card up to this point.
