LA Knight has experienced a rise in position over the past year within WWE, although fans believe he has never quite taken the definitive step, possibly due to the creative decisions of the company.
During a recent episode of his podcast Kliq This, Kevin Nash discussed the current direction of the wrestler in WWE. The Hall of Famer pointed out that the superstar seems to be stagnant and could be entering a complicated phase of his career.
Nash commented that, although Knight continues to prove himself as an athletic wrestler, he appears less in shape than months ago, something that could be related to his position in the company.
We have seen a lot of LA Knight in recent weeks, and he is an athletic guy, I acknowledge that. But he doesn't look as physically defined, nor with the same defined abs. I wonder if the anti-push and the aimless streak he is currently on are affecting him, because all of that gets into your head. It's a job, it's not just about working harder.
The former wrestler also reflected on the stage that many eventually enter: when they are no longer considered top figures. "There comes a point in your career when you are no longer a top guy. And I think he is entering that phase," Nash pointed out.
LA Knight has become one of the most popular wrestlers in the last two years, thanks to his charisma and connection with the audience. However, recent creative decisions have raised doubts about his future projection. Nash's words reopen the debate on whether WWE will capitalize on his appeal or let him lose prominence on the roster.
