As part of his retirement tour, Hiroshi Tanahashi has confirmed a very special stop: he will participate in the grand event Wrestle Odyssey of Pro Wrestling NOAH on October 11th. The legendary New Japan Pro-Wrestling wrestler will team up with Kaito Kiyomiya to face Naomichi Marufuji and KENOH.
The alliance was formed at NJPW Destruction in Kobe, when Kiyomiya personally invited Tanahashi to be his partner in this dream match between generations and companies. Their participation alongside Kiyomiya against two icons like Marufuji and KENOH promises to be one of the most anticipated matches of the evening.
Despite his retirement as a wrestler, Tanahashi will remain actively involved with NJPW thanks to his role as the company's president, a position he has held since early 2024.
The event will be broadcast live on ABEMA in Japan and will feature a star-studded card, including the presence of two NXT talents: Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis, who will face Jack Morris and Sasaki Yuruka.
