TNA Wrestling confirmed last week the inclusion of three former female wrestlers from their roster into the Hall of Fame. The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) and Mickie James will be the chosen ones to increase the list of legends of the company.

In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love reviewed their legacy in TNA Wrestling and explained why their induction into the Hall of Fame is more than deserved. The former Knockouts Tag Team Champions recalled that, during the Spike TV era, their segments were not only popular: they were the most watched of the entire show. Angelina Love pointed out how surprising it was to see their names above true legends who were part of the roster at that time.

Kurt Angle was in TNA. Sting. Christian. Hall. Kevin Nash. Booker T. They were all there. And we were the ones getting the highest-rated segments.

The Canadian wrestler added that they weren't really aware of the magnitude of their success until they started receiving audience reports in the late 2000s. "We saw that we had the most watched segments and thought: 'This is incredible'".

Velvet Sky agreed that the phenomenon was unexpected, especially in a time when women's wrestling was still struggling to earn respect in the industry. However, what struck her the most was the positive reaction from the locker room.

"The guys weren't saying: 'These girls are stealing the spotlight from us'. They were saying: 'Well done, girls, well done!'. We had the support of everyone, and that made it even more special for us".

Velvet Sky and Angelina Love formed the duo The Beautiful People in 2007, one of the most remembered acts in TNA history. With their provocative and dominant characters, they became multiple-time Knockouts Tag Team Champions and key figures in the women's division for several years. After their departure from the company, both continued their careers in the independent circuit and even returned at different stages to IMPACT Wrestling, solidifying their status as icons of modern women's wrestling and as one of the most influential tag teams in the company's history.
