This is not the first time WWE has brought a PLE to movie theaters. SummerSlam 2025 became the first event to be broadcast live on the big screen, specifically in Regal Cinemas. At that time, the company expressed interest in continuing to explore this broadcasting avenue, hoping that more chains would join in the future.
This will be the first edition of Crown Jewel to be held outside of Saudi Arabia. Since its debut in 2018, the PLE has been held annually in the city of Riyadh. Last year, the WWE Crown Jewel Championships were introduced, determining the company's best champion. Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan were the inaugural winners.
