Before WWE Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes had a final tense encounter on tonight's edition of SmackDown. The main event was a tag team match where Rollins' interference cost Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton the victory against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Despite this, Seth did not escape unscathed from the night, as Cody Rhodes attacked him after the match.

The match started with an intense confrontation between Randy Orton and Bron Breakker, who soon found themselves exchanging blows outside the ring. Although Cody Rhodes managed to even the action by entering the match, The Vision's physical power prevailed. Breakker and Reed worked together to isolate and punish Rhodes.

The assault on Cody Rhodes continued until he was able to tag in a furious Randy Orton. Orton leveled the playing field and was getting ready for the finish, but chaos ensued: Paul Heyman distracted the referee. Rollins took advantage of the moment to appear out of nowhere and surprise Orton with a Stomp, allowing Bronson Reed to execute a definitive Tsunami to secure the victory.

Not satisfied with the outcome, Seth Rollins returned to the ring with the intention of humiliating Cody Rhodes, ignoring Paul Heyman's advice. Rollins went on the attack, but Rhodes dodged him and countered with a Cross Rhodes. The finishing move knocked out Rollins, forcing him to roll out of the ring. While Cody stood tall in the center of the ring, sending a clear message to his rival heading into Crown Jewel.
