Andrade is being one of the men of the week. After reappearing on AEW Dynamite on October 1st and confirming his new contract with the company, the Mexican has exploded against the journalist Dave Meltzer after he questioned his departure from AEW and his supposed return to WWE.

Through his X account, Andrade responded forcefully, accusing Meltzer of "speaking without evidence" and defending the way he bid farewell to Tony Khan at the end of his contract.

@davemeltzerWON You talk too much without evidence, and sir, I will only tell you one thing: when my contract with AEW ended, I personally, man to man, went to thank Mr. Tony Khan for the opportunity to be in AEW. That's all I will say. If I wanted to say more, I would prove you wrong in many things. But you keep killing the business. Best wishes to you!

The message comes after Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Tony Khan believed he had a new agreement with Andrade before his departure, but the wrestler had already decided to return to WWE. According to Meltzer, Khan tried to retain him "until the last moment," although the Mexican did not sign the renewal.

"Andrade made Tony Khan believe he was going to renew; Khan thought they had an agreement, although it wasn't signed. He pursued him until the end, but Andrade had already decided to leave. He is talented, but nowadays everyone is. Five years ago, he was special, but now there are many who match or exceed his level," commented Meltzer, comparing his case with those of Malakai Black, William Regal, and Miro.

The journalist also pointed out that people close to Andrade had told him that "he would always see WWE as something more important than AEW," which, according to him, could lead to conflicts. "If Tony doesn't learn from his mistakes, he will repeat them," Meltzer concluded.

Regardless, it seems that the relationship between Andrade and Tony Khan is healthy. The wrestler has closed a great personal week, winning the Heavyweight World Championship of The Crash.
