After almost a year of alliance, the first joint event between NXT and TNA will take place on Tuesday, October 7th, something that many fans were asking for. After an invasion of the Performance Center by the TNA cast, Ava, NXT's general manager, announced an event in which both promotions would compete for supremacy. However, the preparation has not been as expected, both due to internal and external factors. In addition to the controversy WWE had with the State of Israel, which forced the company to change the name of the show after being offended by the event taking place on October 7th under that name.

Now under the name "Showdown", WWE and TNA present a weekly episode of NXT that features some very appealing matches for the fans. Also, the predictions provided by betting houses make it clear that this is an event with matches whose results are certainly unpredictable. According to the betting house BetOnline, the likely main event would be won quite comfortably by the NXT team. The group consisting of Myles Borne, Trick Williams, Je´Von Evans, and Ricky Saints would defeat Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater. On the other hand, Joe Hendry, a regular in NXT programming and former TNA World Champion, will be the special referee for the match.

On the women's side, in this case, it would be the TNA group (Kelani Jordan, Cassie Lee, Jessie McKay, and Mara Sadè) who would prevail over the diverse NXT team (Jacy Jayne, Lola Vice, Sol Ruca, and Jaida Parker). Additionally, Jordynne Grace, a legend of the TNA Knockouts division and current NXT wrestler, will be the special referee, so it will be interesting to see what role she plays.

Ethan Page will defend his NXT North American Championship against Mustafa Ali. While Ali seeks to win the title he was pursuing two years ago when he was released from WWE, the bets indicate that All Ego would add a new name to his long list of defeated rivals during this reign and retain his championship. On the other hand, Jeff and Matt Hardy would make history in their over 30-year career, defeating Darkstate and becoming NXT Tag Team Champions for the first time.

Below, we review the matches available for betting, highlighting the favorites for each:

  • 4 vs. 4 male elimination match: Team NXT (Ricky Saints, Je´Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Myles Borne) (-300) VS Team TNA (Mike Santana, Leon Slater, Frankie Kazarian, and Moose)
  • 4 vs. 4 female elimination match: Team NXT (Jacy Jayne, Lola Vice, Jaida Parker, and Sol Ruca) (+200) VS Team TNA (Kelani Jordan, Mara Sadè, Jessie McJay, and Cassie Lee) (-300)
  • NXT North American Championship match: Ethan Page (c) (-300) VS Mustafa Ali (+200)
  • Winner Take All match: Darkstate (NXT Tag Team Champions) (+550) VS The Hardys (TNA Tag Team Champions) (-1000)

Although betting does not guarantee absolute accuracy in WWE cards, it often accurately reflects trends and most expected results. However, as the event approaches, the figures may change, especially depending on how the main stories evolve.
