A few minutes ago, we learned that one of the most legendary fighters in all of history, Mickie James, will be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, a company where she has probably shone the most throughout her extensive career. At 46 years old, James receives an achievement that only two women currently hold: being a wrestler inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, after Gail Kim and Awesome Kong achieved it some years ago.
Victoria (Tara in TNA) will be in charge of leading the celebration. Both are considered two icons and promoters of wrestling in the United States. In addition to having the honor of starring in the first female main event in TNA Impact! history, they have also had important matches in WWE (such as the first female falls count anywhere in its history). Furthermore, they have a close personal relationship and even co-hosted the GAW TV podcast.
James mentioned in an interview with So Cal Val that she asked Tommy Dreamer for Victoria to be the one chosen to present her at the Hall of Fame, and although she wasn't sure if it was feasible due to her friend's legendary contract with WWE, there were ultimately no obstacles.
The 5-time TNA Knockouts Champion will experience one of her most exciting moments as a wrestler at the Bound for Glory event, which will take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. At the event, which will feature matches like the clash between Trick Williams and Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship or the final showdown between the Dudleys and the Hardys, TNA plans a double induction into the Hall of Fame.
Mickie James will be joined by The Beautiful People, Angelina Love, and Velvet Sky, who like James, will have the honor of being two of the first five knockouts in the Hall of Fame. Although their importance in the industry may not be comparable to that of the 10-time World Champion, both have established themselves as two key female wrestlers in the company's division.
