WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,689, from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The show will be broadcast live on Netflix and Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news article as every week.
This will be the last episode of the red brand before WWE Crown Jewel, and it will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting the appearances of Roman Reigns and CM Punk. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE Raw on Netflix begins!
The show starts with a video recap of last week's main event, which ended with the return of Roman Reigns.
"The OTC" is the one to open tonight's show. The Samoan makes his entrance to a great ovation. Reigns steps into the ring, where he raises his index finger. Fireworks accompany the moment. "OTC, OTC," the fans chant before singing his name. Roman closes his eyes to enjoy the moment. "Dallas, Texas, recognize me!" exclaims Reigns.
Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed interrupt the segment.
Heyman and Reed stand on the entrance ramp, where they are booed. Bronson and Reigns exchange silent glances. "Are you here to look at me or are you going to say something?" Roman asks. Paul takes the floor to ask him who has been advising him since he broke his heart, as it seems he has forgotten how to introduce himself properly. But he will remind him how it's done. "Dallas, Texas, recognize your Tribal Thief!" Heyman exclaims. The fans boo Bronson. Paul states that Roman fears the Australian. And he should, as Reed has achieved something that no one else has. No one before him had left Reigns in such a bad state that he had to be taken out on a stretcher and transported to a hospital by ambulance. And that happened at Wrestlepalooza.
Reed speaks up to remind Roman that his father (Sika) and his uncle (Afa) were never taken out on a stretcher even once throughout their long careers. So, how will they feel in the afterlife seeing Roman being taken out on a stretcher? "It's funny that you talk about my father and my uncle. You didn't know them. But the idiot next to you, yes. What do you think my father would say now, Paul? My father would say: fight him now. So let's do this NOW", Reigns replies. Reed prepares to march towards the ring, but Heyman stops him. Paul advises the Australian, pointing out that Roman wants him to fall into his trap. Reigns recalls that he has been in the same situation as Bronson, listening to Heyman's advice. "There are no words of wisdom. Just words of a coward," says Roman. "Let's be honest. I'm several levels above you. It will always be my moment. No matter where we go, how you want to do it, the way you want to do it. Let me know, because I will always be your Tribal Chief". Paul says something in Reed's ear before speaking. Heyman congratulates Roman's speech before challenging him on behalf of Bronson to an Australian Street Fight at WWE Crown Jewel. "Too easy. I accept," Reigns replies.
Paul and Bronson prepare to go backstage, but Roman provokes them. "Dallas, they came in as tough guys, but it seems they're leaving like a couple of bitches". Furious, Bronson heads towards the ring to start a fight with Reigns. The action moves to ringside. Roman knocks out Reed with a Superman Punch. Reigns clears the commentary table, at which point many officials and security guards appear on the scene to stop him. Roman escapes from them to execute a second Superman Punch. Reigns celebrates on the apron while Reed is held back near the stands.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists: CM Punk, Lyra Valkyria, and IYO SKY.
We move backstage, where Asuka demands from Adam Pearce to schedule a one-on-one match between IYO SKY and Kairi Sane for tonight. The General Manager responds that he will only do it if "The Genius of Sky" agrees, as Rhea Ripley won't be able to accompany her because she is already in Australia. "Schedule the match for tonight!" insists Asuka. "I need a drink," says Pearce before leaving. Kairi appears on the scene to ask what happened. Asuka informs her that tonight she will face IYO. "No. I don't want to face IYO in a one-on-one match. I know I can still bring her back to our family," says a distressed Sane. Asuka yells at her in Japanese before slapping her. "The match will take place! Do you understand?", she asks. "I understand," a fearful Kairi replies. Asuka takes her by the hand. "Good girl. Good girl. You better win. You better win," says "The Empress of Tomorrow" before leaving. Sane remains silent, on the verge of tears and with her hand on her sore face. "Kairi!" Asuka shouts from afar. "The Pirate Princess" has no choice but to respond to the call.

Dupri tries to fight back, but only manages to anger the Irishwoman, who unleashes a flurry of attacks in one of the corners.

The Irishwoman enters and exits the ring to interrupt the referee's count. Becky hits Maxxine's head against the metal stairs and the PRIME display, even using the prop bottle as a weapon.
Lynch returns once again to the ring to interrupt the referee's count of 10 before going after her rival. "The Man" continues to hit Dupri against the commentary table. 1..2..3..4..5.. Becky climbs onto the table to taunt the fans. 6..7.. Meanwhile, Dupri returns to the ring. The referee continues counting. 8...9... Becky tries to return, but it's already too late...10.

A surprised and exhausted Maxxine celebrates at the top of the entrance while Lynch remains in the ring, unable to understand how this could have happened.
Roman Reigns meets The Usos backstage. Roman greets his cousins, who are aware of what happened at the beginning of the night. Jey Uso points out that he will be by his side at WWE Crown Jewel. "Hey, I'm fine. I don't want help, especially if it comes from you. We've talked about this. You should be hyper-focused on what you're doing right now, on your opportunities. Right? The doors are open for you now, to own the rooms you walk through. In fact, who's going to grab the microphone tonight?" asks Roman. "CM Punk," Jey replies. "It's not you, right?" Reigns asks. "Man. YEET," a determined Jey replies before leaving. Roman remains with Jimmy Uso. "You know I hear and see everything, right? What's the problem with Jey getting advice from me?", asks Reigns before looking at his cousin. After a few moments, "The OTC" leaves. And so we come to the end of this segment.
Bayley approaches Lyra Valkyria in the Gorilla Position. "The Role Model" shows her friendlier side to inform the Irishwoman that tonight she would like to be by her side. Lyra wonders which version of Bayley she is facing. However, she is aware that her opponent, Roxanne Perez, will be accompanied by Raquel Rodriguez, so she will need help with that. Thus, she accepts "The Role Model's" offer. Both fist bump before heading to the ring.
Lyra Valkyria (with Bayley) vs. Roxanne Perez (with Raquel Rodriguez)
Roxanne approaches Lyra to slap her. Valkyria responds with fury, cornering her opponent in one of the corners. We see a promotional video for the match between John Cena and AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel.
Jackie Redmond interviews AJ Styles backstage. Before "The Phenomenal One" can answer the first question, The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh) interrupt. Dominik doesn't believe AJ can beat John Cena. In fact, he couldn't beat him either, just like Rusev couldn't last week. "I'm still your double champion, and you have nothing", says Dom. Bálor addresses Styles, pointing out that he knows that "The Phenomenal One" and Dragon Lee want the Tag Team World Championships he holds with McDonagh. "Well, take this as advice from an old friend: you're making a big mistake", says Finn. AJ Styles believes his words sound like a threat. And, since they are three and he is alone, he informs them that he will go find Adam Pearce to schedule a tag team match. Styles will inform Lee and together they will find a partner for tonight. "So we'll see how tough you are. Okay, old friend?" asks AJ Styles before leaving. JD McDonagh points out that they should have attacked him. Meanwhile, Mysterio doesn't seem worried about the wrestler who joins forces with Styles and Lee, because The Judgment Day will take care of everything as they always do.
We see CM Punk walking backstage as he heads to the ring. Meanwhile, in the background, a furious Rusev argues with Adam Pearce.
We see a promotional video starring Stephanie Vaquer. "The dream of my life: to be WWE champion. I had to walk through Hell, and I turned it into my home. Every tear was worth it to reach the top. But this is not a swan song. This is a coronation. I will face every battle with honor and respect, and in the end, I will prove that I am the best in the world. I am The First and this is just the beginning. My fire will continue to burn everything forever," says the Chilean.
Penta meets AJ Styles and Dragon Lee backstage. Since Penta wants to snatch the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik, AJ Styles believes he would fit perfectly as the third member of their team for tonight. Thus, the three of them can teach The Judgment Day a lesson. Suddenly, a noise startles them. A few meters away, we see a furious Bayley and Lyra Valkyria attacking Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Several guards and officials, led by an enraged Adam Pearce, must intervene to separate them. "GET THEM OUT OF HERE! NOWWWW!" yells the General Manager.
We see PBR stars John Crimber, Hudson Bolton, Rocker Steiner, and some Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders in the front row.

Punk jokes with the audience before thanking them for the warm welcome they gave his wife upon her return to WWE. "AJ Lee, AJ Lee," chant the fans. CM Punk goes over the Crown Jewel card, focusing on the men's match for the WWE Championship. CM Punk reveals that his absence over the past two weeks was due to a promise he made to Cody Rhodes not to interfere in his business. Therefore, he took the time to celebrate with his wife the victory they achieved at Wrestlepalooza. Punk reminds everyone that his goal remains to win the World Heavyweight Championship. It's not something he deserves. It's something he's earned. CM Punk knows he's better than Seth Rollins and promises to take the gold from him.
LA Knight interrupts the promo
"The Megastar" confronts CM Punk with the ropes between them. LA Knight enters the ring to grab a mic. He stands face-to-face with CM Punk. "Look in my eyes. What do you see?", asks LA Knight, referencing CM Punk’s entrance theme, Cult of Personality. "Someone who just interrupted me," replies "The Best in the World." LA Knight reminds Punk that his goal is also to win the World Heavyweight Championship, because he’s earned it too.
LA Knight agrees with some of Punk’s statements but wants to add a few things that Punk left out. CM Punk is the originator, the man known for the "pipe bomb." But lately, he’s been better known as a husband. And that’s not an insult. LA Knight says everyone needs love, and he respects CM Punk for nurturing it. "But as good as you seem to be as a husband, my friend, you're a crappy champion," says "The Megastar." Just five minutes after winning the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins knocked him out and pinned him. Later, at Clash in Paris, Rollins pinned Punk again to retain the title. LA Knight asks Punk if he knows which wrestler Seth has never pinned. "I'm guessing the same guy who’s never, ever, ever been World Champion, right?", replies CM Punk. "The Megastar" stays silent as he takes the hit. LA Knight insists he’s never lost to Rollins. While Punk has two losses against "The Visionary," he’s never lost to him. "I was the last man to pin Seth Rollins, and I’m damn sure I’ll be the next one to do it. And I will become World Heavyweight Champion," says "The Megastar".
UUUUUUSSSSOOOO!
Jey Uso heads to the ring. Once there, he makes it clear to CM Punk and LA Knight that he is the only one who deserves to be the next challenger for the WWE Championship, since he never received his rematch. LA Knight is tired of both Jey and CM Punk. They both had their opportunities and blew them. Now it's his turn—his moment. LA Knight tells Jey he will never be like Roman Reigns. In fact, maybe he should go back to chasing the tag team titles. Jimmy Uso appears. LA Knight turns to him to assure him there's no problem between them. But Jey surprises LA Knight with a superkick!
CM Punk addresses Jey to let him know he’ll have to get in line if he wants a title shot. "Maybe you two should focus on being a team, because I love Jey Uso. But I don’t like little Roman," says CM Punk before turning to leave the ring. Jey grabs him by the arm, ready to strike, but Jimmy stops him. Jimmy steps between the two to avoid a fight. Jey pretends to back off, only to try and hit CM Punk with a superkick, but Jimmy stops him. Fed up, CM Punk shoves Jimmy aside and knocks out Jey with a punch. "Stay out of my business!" yells "The Best in the World". Upset, Jimmy hits CM Punk with a superkick! Jimmy helps his brother back to his feet. The Usos leave the ring to end the segment.
IYO SKY delivers a video promo. "Asuka, everything that’s happened between us isn’t Rhea’s fault. It’s yours. You broke my heart. I owed you everything. Kairi and I are in WWE because of you. We looked up to you like a big sister. I wanted to be just like you, but your jealousy and lack of respect changed everything. I’ve always given you credit for my career. You were one of the reasons I became champion. But you’re not the only reason I became champion! I didn’t want to believe Rhea, but she was right. You only want what’s best for yourself. A real family member wouldn’t tell me who I can be friends with. A real family member wouldn’t take credit for my success. We’re no longer family. But I’m starting to figure out who is. And at Crown Jewel, you’ll find out that Asuka is not ready for IYO," says "The Genius of the Sky".

We see part two (Allies) of a promotional video focusing on the Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins rivalry ahead of their WWE Crown Jewel match.
We move to The Vision's locker room. We see Seth Rollins checking his watch while Becky Lynch paces back and forth, talking to herself. Behind them is Paul Heyman. "The Man" doesn’t believe she lost to Maxxine Dupri tonight. Becky blames the referee and then says the locker room doesn’t deserve her. Lynch says she's going to talk to Adam Pearce because she’s not willing to be treated like this anymore. Becky storms off. "Paul, we need to talk. I HAVE to win this Saturday," says Rollins. Heyman assures him that he will. Seth asks what will happen if he loses—and he wants an honest answer. Paul replies that he’ll lose everything: the locker room, the trust that Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have put in him. His vision will no longer be the one that leads the future of this business. "You’ll throw away everything we’ve built since WrestleMania. You’ll throw away the fact that the entire Netflix era has been built around Seth Freakin' Rollins. And to history, you’ll be remembered as little more than a secondary champion. So please, do yourself a favor—and don’t lose," says Paul. As he gets ready to leave, Rollins stops him. Seth wants to know what will happen to Heyman if he loses on Saturday. "If you lose to Cody Rhodes, at some point I’ll have to ask myself: ‘Why? Why did I choose you over Roman Reigns?’" Paul replies before walking out.
We’re back backstage, where Jey Uso confronts Jimmy about what happened tonight. Jey doesn’t understand why his brother came out while he was handling business. "I’m trying to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and you got us a tag team match. Are you trying to protect Punk? You’d better know what side you're on tonight, okay?" says Jey before walking off. Jimmy shouts that he’ll always be on his side. Jimmy then addresses Roman Reigns, saying he knows exactly what Roman is doing with Jey. However, he makes it clear that neither he nor his brother are like "The OTC". He points out that Jey changed when he won the World Heavyweight Championship. "When Jey won the World Heavyweight Championship, he became more like me and less like you. And if you really want to help your brother, sometimes you just have to get out of his way," says Roman before leaving.
