The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Booker T at the commentary table, live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Showdown will present a special card with several matches pitting NXT talent against TNA.
Two matches in the purest Survivor Series style stand out, in addition to two title matches. One of them will feature The Hardy Boyz against DarkState with both brands' tag team championships on the line. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT Showdown begins on Netflix!
The show starts with a presentation video of the historic event that will take place tonight.
We see the arrival of the male and female NXT and TNA teams at the venue.
The Dudley Boyz and Carlos Silva are in the front row to witness the first match of the night.
DarkState in full force storm the ring to launch an assault on The Hardy Boyz, who quickly dispose of the faction. The heels threaten to re-enter the ring, but the referee orders Saquon Shugars and Cutler James to return backstage. Both men have no choice but to obey.
Title vs. Title Match (TNA Tag Team Championship vs. NXT Tag Team Championship) - Winners Take All
The Hardy Boyz (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) (TNA) vs. DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox) (NXT)
The Hardys start dominating the match, combining and taking turns to attack Lennox. Jeff takes down Dion and then hits him with a direct dropkick to the back of the head. Lennox escapes Jeff to tag in Osiris. They combine to take down the legend. Osiris finishes him off with a legdrop. 1..2..NO. Griffin follows up with a powerslam before going for another legdrop, but this time Jeff dodges it.
Matt receives the tag. Matt tries to execute a Twist of Fate on Osiris, but Dion stops him with a clothesline. Lennox confronts Jeff before going back after Matt. Griffin and Lennox team up to punish Matt. He tries to fight back but only manages to anger Griffin, who charges at him in the corner. Matt escapes his rivals to tag in Jeff.
Jeff comes in strong, taking care of both opponents at the same time. Lennox blocks a Twist of Fate to take Jeff to the apron. Osiris and Lennox execute a combined attack to take down Jeff, who ends up outside the ring. Osiris brings Jeff back into the ring, where he kicks him. Griffin tags in Lennox. They both team up against Jeff, who receives a big boot from Osiris.
Dion unleashes a flurry of punches on Jeff, finishing him off with a splash. Griffin tags in to continue beating Jeff, punishing him with the help of the ropes. Griffin keeps attacking Jeff, this time at ground level. Lennox tags in to execute a DDT on his opponent. 1..2..NO. Dion keeps attacking Jeff. Osiris tags in to take down the legend with a back elbow. 1..2..NO. Jeff escapes his rivals to dive onto both with a Whisper in the Wind.
Jeff tags in Matt, who comes in strong. Matt takes down Lennox with a Side Effect before applying a DDT on Griffin. Matt traps Dion to hit his head against the corner pads. The fans chant "DELETE! DELETE!" with each impact. The Hardys team up against Lennox, with Jeff hitting a Twist of Fate for his brother to finish him off with a neckbreaker. 1..2..NO. Griffin interrupts the count.
Osiris and Dion perform a combined slam on Matt. 1..2..NO. Jeff interrupts the count. Osiris and Dion throw Jeff out of the ring. Griffin carries Matt on his shoulders, preparing him for Dion to finish him off. However, Matt escapes his rivals, hitting two Twist of Fates. Jeff tags in to execute a Swanton Bomb on Lennox. 1..2..3.
Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: THE HARDY BOYZ
The Hardys celebrate their victory in the center of the ring to a great ovation from the fans. Matt and Jeff head to one of the corners to raise the NXT and TNA championships while pointing at The Dudley Boyz, who applaud their victory. Matt and Jeff continue celebrating in the center of the ring. "We did it! We got them!", exclaims Matt looking at the camera. Matt and Jeff clink the championships as the segment comes to an end.
Jordynne Grace makes her entrance to serve as the special referee for the next match.
Survivor Series-style Women's Tag Team Match
Team NXT (Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice) vs. Team TNA (Kelani Jordan, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, and Mara Sadé)
Jacy and Kelani start the match. The two captains engage in an initial feeling-out phase, with both women looking for a quick elimination. Jacy surprises Kelani with a scissor kick. Lola enters to continue the fight. Jordan catches Vice by the arm before tagging in The IInspiration, who team up to take down their opponent.
Cassie tags in Mara, who takes down Lola with a dropkick. Vice tags in Jaida. Both team up to take down Sadé, hitting her with a stereo hip attack. Mara recovers. Sadé and Parker exchange attacks. Jaida prepares to execute a Stalling suplex on Mara, at which point The IInspiration come into play to rescue their teammate. The rest of the wrestlers from both teams soon head to the center of the ring.
Jordynne tries to restore order, but it's impossible. Grace gives them permission to fight each other all at once. Chaos takes over the ring. One by one, all the women end up outside the ring. McKay and Lee throw Lola and Jaida out of the ring before attacking them. Now it's Jayne who dives onto the Australians with a cannonball. Jacy celebrates, a moment Sadé takes advantage of to launch herself at her with a suicide dive. It's Jordan's turn, who dives onto all the women outside the ring with a moonsault. Finally, Sol dives onto everyone with a handspring moonsault. Team NXT celebrates at ringside.
Jaida brings Sadé back into the ring. Parker executes several corner spears on Mara, forcing Grace to intervene. The referee shows Parker a yellow card (reminding her of her past as a soccer player). Jaida protests. A lack of respect that costs her a red card. Parker pushes Jordynne aside to go after Mara again. The action continues. Jaida surprises Mara with a DDT. 1..2.. NO. Sol tags in. Ruca executes a stalling suplex on Sadé.
Team NXT takes turns punishing Mara in their corner. Sadé blocks a new suplex to escape from Ruca. She surprises The IInspiration with a double dropkick. Sol catches Cassie in a wristlock. McKay tags in, grabbing Sol from the apron for Lee to hit the double champion with a spinning kick. The IInspiration team up against Ruca.
Mara tags in to continue attacking Sol, crushing her with a tremendous knee strike. 1..2.. NO. Ruca escapes a double suplex from Lee and McKay to take them down with a double DDT. Jordan and Jayne tag in. Jacy takes care of all her opponents at the same time. Jayne knocks out McKay with a superkick before hitting Kelani with a diving senton. 1..2.. NO.
Sadé and Parker exchange attacks. Jaida knocks out Mara with a spinning neckbreaker before launching herself at The IInspiration, whom she immobilizes in one of the corners to execute The Silencer. Sadé dodges a charge from Jaida in one of the corners before knocking her down to the mat. Sadé goes for a moonsault, but overshoots.
The action continues. Jaida knocks down Mara with a Falcon Arrow. 1..2.. NO. Kelani interrupts the count with a diving splash. The match descends into chaos, with all the women hitting each other. Lee hits Jacy with a knee strike, only to be surprised by Parker's Hipnotic. Sadé takes advantage of the situation to cover Jaida with a roll-up. 1...2...3.

Mara celebrates, a moment Sol uses to surprise her with a Sol Snatcher. 1..2..3
Mara Sadé is eliminated
Jacy punishes Jordan, knocking her down with a back elbow. 1..2.. NO. The IInspiration surprise Jayne from their corner, allowing Jordan to crush her with a corner splash. The Australians continue teaming up against Jacy, punishing her in one of the corners. Lee hits a running meteora. 1..2.. NO. Kelani tags in to keep punishing Jayne, catching her in a bodyscissors. Jayne throws several elbows in an attempt to free herself. She finally shifts her weight onto Jordan, who eventually releases her.
The IInspiration team up again against Jacy. She escapes her rivals to tag in Lola, who comes in strong. Vice kicks Lee and Jordan, taking them to opposite corners. Then, she executes three consecutive running hip attacks. Lola and Cassie try to hit each other, but both dodge the opponent's attacks. Suddenly, Vice surprises Lee with a spinning back fist. 1..2..3.
Cassie Lee is eliminated
McKay tries to surprise Lola with a roll-up, but the NXT talent avoids it by catching the Australian in a sleeper hold. McKay has no choice but to surrender.
Jessie McKay is eliminated
Jacy tags in, which annoys Lola. Jayne reminds her that she is the champion before going after Jordan. However, she knocks her out with a superkick. Meanwhile, The IInspiration make Sol and Lola fall from their corners. Jordynne approaches to order the Australians to return backstage. Kelani finishes off Jacy with a split-legged moonsault. 1..2..3.
Kelani Jordan is eliminated
Winners: Team NXT (Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca)
Jacy hugs a frustrated Sol to celebrate Team NXT's victory. Sol helps Kelani to her feet, which annoys Jacy. Ruca reminds her that Jordan is still an NXT talent and therefore a teammate. Kelani leaves the ring. Sol and Jayne celebrate in the ropes while Jordan argues with Grace on the entrance ramp.
Matt Cardona talks with Ava in the NXT General Manager's office. Cardona apologizes for intervening in last week's match between Josh Briggs and Je'Von Evans, explaining that he was caught up in the brand tension at the moment. Ava believes Matt should receive an Oscar for best apology performance, adding that the wrestler doesn't regret anything he did. Cardona admits that Ava is right. Matt confesses he was upset because Santino Marella and Mike Santana didn't include him in Team TNA, so he needed to vent somehow. Of course, he is aware that Briggs will want revenge. That's why he's willing to face him.
Josh Briggs bursts onto the scene. Cardona quickly hides behind the door. Briggs couldn't care less about Team NXT, but he should be on the team tonight. And he's not because of Matt Cardona. Ava senses that Josh wants to face TNA talent. Briggs confirms it. Ava promises him she will talk to Santino Marella and that there shouldn't be any problem for that match to happen next week. Briggs leaves the office satisfied. Matt comes out of hiding. "This is great. I love how this place works. See you next week," says a smiling Cardona before leaving.
Match for the NXT North American Championship
Ethan Page (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Ali and Page grapple. Ethan corners Mustafa in one of the corners. Ali responds with a push before continuing the fight. Ethan traps Mustafa in a wristlock. Ali frees himself to catch the champion in a headlock. Mustafa showcases his speed to try to surprise Ethan, taking him down with a rolling neckbreaker. Ali finishes off the champion with a standing moonsault. 1..2..NO.
Ethan goes to ringside. Ali follows him. Page surprises Mustafa with a back elbow before going for his championship. Ali prevents the champion from escaping backstage by surprising him with a DDT on the floor. Mustafa brings Page back into the ring. Ali looks for height. Page prevents him from doing so by making him fall from the corner. Then, he hits his head against the post. Ali falls to ringside. Ethan crouches next to him to taunt him.
Ethan knocks out Mustafa before posing for the fans, who give him a loud boo. "All Ego" brings Ali back into the ring, where he applies two consecutive elbow drops. Ethan traps him in a submission hold. Mustafa frees himself, only to receive a facebreaker. Page punishes his rival with the help of the ropes. "All Ego" kicks Mustafa before trapping him in a headlock. Ali frees himself, only to receive a clothesline.
Mustafa surprises Page with a dropkick. Ali looks for height. Ethan goes after him. Mustafa gets rid of the champion with a headbutt. Ethan returns, only to fall to a sunset flip powerbomb. Mustafa prepares to execute his finisher, but "All Ego" hits the ropes to make him fall. Page goes after him again. Ethan carries him on his shoulder to drop him on the corner. Ethan finishes him off with a tremendous big boot. 1..2..NO. Semi-conscious, Mustafa stands up to interrupt the count.
Champion and challenger exchange attacks. Ethan dodges a charge from Ali, who hits the corner hard. Ethan drags him to the center of the ring to cover him. 1..2..NO. Ali blocks an Ego's Edge to respond with a springboard DDT. 1..2..NO. Mustafa drags Page to one of the corners. Ali goes after him. Mustafa dodges a 054. Page counters with a big boot, but Mustafa doesn't fall for it.
Mustafa reverses an Ego's Edge into a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Ali surprises Ethan with a superkick. Mustafa avoids a Twisted Grin to surprise the champion with another roll-up. 1..2..NO. Ali throws Ethan out of the ring with a scissor kick before launching a tremendous suicide dive. Both men end up over the commentary table.
Ali brings Ethan back into the ring. Mustafa looks for height in one of the corners. At that moment, the fans desperately try to warn him. The wrestler has some cables hooked on his left leg. Ali realizes this, a moment Ethan takes advantage of to push him. Mustafa falls violently to the ground. "All Ego" brings him back into the ring to finish him off with a Twisted Grin. 1..2..3.
Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion: Ethan Page
Sarah Schreiber interviews El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. backstage. The masked wrestler recalls that Ethan Page continues to claim the AAA Latin American Championship as his own, alleging that the masked man stole the victory. El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. places his hand on Sarah's shoulder. "I am the pride of Mexico, the champion all of Latin America needs. So now I'm coming for the North Americ—" he says before being interrupted by Lexis King. Lexis makes it clear he's not fooled. He’s done his research, and there's no Doctor Wagner in Mexico with a medical license. Lexis believes Tavion Heights is under the mask and that this is just another attempt to get a shot at the North American Title after failing at No Mercy. Lexis reaches out to unmask him, but the luchador swats his hand away. "Don't you ever touch me again in your life," says El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. before walking off. Lexis remains convinced it’s Heights, suspecting he’s just picked up some Spanish lately. Tavion appears and questions King about why he's being mentioned. Lexis looks surprised, unable to understand how he changed clothes so fast. "What's wrong with you, man?" Tavion asks in Spanish before walking away.
Lola Vice and Jaida Parker are seen congratulating each other for their victory tonight. Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca appear. Jayne congratulates Sol for being one of the survivors of the match, but the North American Champion is still upset about what happened at the end. Jacy says goodbye and leaves. Zaria arrives and asks Ruca if she’s had enough fun with her new friends. Jaida and Lola sense they’re no longer needed and walk off. Sol apologizes for not endorsing Zaria’s inclusion in Team NXT but reminds her they’ll soon be tag team champions. Blake Monroe interrupts. "The Glamour" says Sol reminds her of Jordynne Grace—relentless even with two titles. "Zaria, you’ll never get what you want as long as Sol keeps using you," Monroe tells the Australian. Zaria makes it clear she won’t let Monroe stir conflict for her own gain. "You don’t care about me. You care about the same thing everyone here does: Sol’s titles. And let me be clear: that’s not happening," Zaria says. "No. I only care about one," Blake responds, touching the North American Championship with her index finger. "And as for this friendship... let’s see how long it lasts," she adds before walking away.
Joe Hendry will be the special guest referee for tonight’s main event.
Men’s Survivor Series-Style Tag Match
Team NXT (Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, Myles Borne & Je’Von Evans) vs. Team TNA (Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose & Leon Slater)
Je'Von and Leon start the match. However, Williams and Kazarian tag in, not allowing their partners to kick off the action. Frankie and Trick exchange punches. Williams drops Kazarian with a dropkick. Myles tags in. Borne drops Frankie with a side suplex. Kazarian drives his opponent into his corner, where his teammates unload a barrage of punches on the NXT star. Borne’s teammates rush in to intervene.
Chaos erupts in the ring. Everyone except Myles and Kazarian ends up at ringside. Borne tosses Frankie out before diving onto everyone with a tope. Myles brings Kazarian back inside. Borne drops him with another side suplex. Moose tries to interfere but eats a scoop powerslam. Myles hits an ushigoroshi on Frankie. 1...2...NO. Kazarian brings Myles to the apron. Frankie surprises him with a legdrop and finishes with a sudden Cutter. 1...2...3.
Myles Borne is eliminated
Santana and Saints continue the match. Mike surprises Ricky with headscissors. Saints responds with a slingblade. "This is my house!" yells "The Absolute". Je’Von tags in and keeps attacking Santana. Mike recovers to hit a side suplex. Santana follows with a stiff chop. The fans clutch their chests as if they felt Evans’ pain. Mike lands a second chop before tagging in Moose.
Moose corners Evans and hits a chop. Je’Von reverses it and unleashes a flurry of chops on Moose. Moose halts Je’Von’s offense with a dropkick. Kazarian tags in. Frankie hits a suplex on Je’Von. Kazarian follows with a powerslam and a springboard legdrop. 1...2...NO. Kazarian covers again with his feet on the ropes. Hendry notices and stops the count.
Trick and Leon tag in. Williams surprises Slater with a uranage and a pump kick. 1...2...NO. Trick lands two chops on Leon. Slater dodges a third and fires back with a storm of chops. Leon surprises Trick with a Cutter. 1...2...NO. Je’Von breaks the pin. Chaos ensues again. Santana stays in the ring with Trick, who ignores the situation and tags in Evans.
Je’Von enters on fire. He hits Leon with a springboard enzuigiri, then strikes Moose with a forearm. He tosses him out with a springboard hurricanrana. Je’Von dives onto Kazarian with a suicide dive. Then back inside and out again with a tope onto Santana. Evans targets Moose next, but Moose catches him mid-air. Moose sets up for a powerbomb, but Je’Von counters with a hurricanrana. Evans re-enters to hit an OG Cutter on Slater, but Leon rolls him up. 1...2...3.
Je’Von Evans is eliminated
Slater and Kazarian double-team Trick. Frankie throws him into the corner where Moose and Slater trap him with their legs. Leon hits a splash. 1...2...NO. Kazarian and Trick trade punches. Frankie hits a dropkick. "This is our house tonight!" shouts Kazarian. He chokes Trick using the ropes.
Trick escapes Moose and Kazarian and heads to his corner. Frankie knocks Saints down and they trade strikes. Trick looks for the tag, but no one’s there. Saints returns quickly, but Trick is gone. Williams hits Moose with a neckbreaker. Saints waits for the tag, but Trick ignores him. Ricky tags himself in.
Saints continues against Leon. Kazarian kicks Ricky’s back, and Slater hits a helicopter slam. Both men are down. Saints crawls to tag Trick, but he walks out of the match. Kazarian attacks and drops Ricky with a clothesline. Meanwhile, Williams walks backstage. Saints escapes a hold from Frankie and surprises him with a pin. 1...2...3.
Frankie Kazarian is eliminated
Leon surprises Ricky with a frog splash. 1...2...NO. Slater keeps attacking Saints, who barely fights back. Ricky blocks a Swanton 450 with his knees. He covers the X-Division Champion. 1...2...3.
Leon Slater is eliminated
Moose drops Ricky with a senton. 1...2...NO. Saints counters a powerbomb into a DDT. 1...2...NO. Santana breaks the count. Mike keeps attacking Ricky, who struggles to stand. Mike drops Saints and covers. 1...2...NO. Ricky dodges a Turnbuckle Powerbomb and hits a superkick.
Ricky dodges a spear from Moose, which hits Santana. Saints tosses Moose out and covers Santana. 1...2...NO. Ricky prepares to finish Mike, but Santana counters, launching him into Moose, who catches him for a pop-up powerbomb. Santana finishes with the Spin the Block. 1...2...3.

We move to the NXT General Manager’s office. Ava and Santino Marella appear pleased with tonight’s show and the balance between brands. Ava congratulates Marella on his team’s victory. Santino, in turn, congratulates her on the women’s team's win, once again proving they are the best division in the world. Speaking of which, Ava informs him that a new challenger is needed for the NXT Women’s Championship, so a women’s battle royal will be held next week. She invites the TNA women’s division to participate. Marella gladly accepts. The two shake hands as the show comes to a close.
