John Cena reveals his dream opponent at WrestleMania

John Cena recently shared what would have been his ideal match in an alternate universe: going up against André The Giant in the main event of WrestleMania. During a Q&A session at the Chicago Fan Expo, the leader of the Cenation was asked about his dream opponent, and he didn't hesitate to answer.

The WWE veteran recalled that André The Giant was a figure that transcended generations and helped solidify professional wrestling in popular culture. Cena highlighted his charisma, his unmatched size, and his role as "the benchmark" for all who followed in his footsteps in the company.

Just out of selfishness, I would say André, because he was the measuring stick. The legend surrounding André the Giant is mythical, both for his physical presence and his history within the wrestling industry, especially in the WWF. I'm sure it was the same worldwide, because André was a global phenomenon. But yes, selfishly, it would be André the Giant.

The comment comes as Cena approaches the final stretch of his retirement tour, with only five more appearances before his definitive farewell on December 13 in Washington D.C. His next stop will be this Saturday at Crown Jewel: Perth, where he will reunite with one of his classic rivals, AJ Styles. The match will mark one of the last chapters of a career that is already part of WWE history.
