Booker T has once again put Jade Cargill at the center of the conversation. After recently pointing out that the injury suffered by Cargill in WWE highlighted her "freshly out" of AEW inexperience, the two-time Hall of Famer has doubled down on his stance on his Hall of Fame podcast: his time in All Elite Wrestling, he says, did not leave him with matches he considers unforgettable.

In his analysis, Booker did not focus on win-loss records or titles, but on the impact of the matches inside the ring and what endures in the memory of the fans. The comment clashed with fans who remember the 60-0 undefeated streak and her reign as TBS champion, but Booker insisted on the difference between achievements and 'classics' that build a legacy.

The reference was about Jade's time in AEW. I can't remember a single match of Jade Cargill, like who she faced... nothing seems memorable to me. Who did she leave the title to? Kris Statlander? I don't think it was Statlander; I don't remember the name.

Far from a total disqualification, Booker did want to emphasize what he sees as Cargill's greatest merit: daring to step onto the big stage of WWE despite her short career, and doing so without hiding. For the Texan, the challenge is not only technical, but mental: enduring the pressure, the spotlight, and the expectations with just a couple of years full-time.

"Being active for two years and going out to perform in front of thousands is tough. Someone like Jade deserves credit: showing up without the experience of Charlotte Flair, Bayley, or Naomi and still saying 'I'm ready to jump into the fire'," he summarized. In his view, the issue was not Cargill's media projection, but that AEW did not offer her the defining battles that, in the eyes of history, solidify a career.

Statements that sparked controversy

Booker T's words are an extension of the statements he made after the match between Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax on September 26 on SmackDown. The NXT commentator pointed out that Jade Cargill came from AEW and "didn't learn much there." Those words sparked many reactions, including a message from Andreas Hale, a regular ESPN writer who gave Wrestlepalooza a "C" grade.

"It's been two years. There's nothing 'new' after her time in AEW. He's talking about the end of last week's triple threat, which wasn't Jade's fault. Stratton was late to break the count. Jade had to endure a deep cut. What is Booker trying to do here?" Hale wrote on social media.
