Today, Zayda Steel announced her departure from WWE. The Evolve wrestler and member of The Vanity Project chose not to renew her contract with the company to start a new stage in her professional career outside of the company's developmental territory owned by Endeavor. However, she is not the only one.
Kylie Rae will also be leaving the company, as she announced this afternoon. The former WWE ID champion was informed that her contract will not be renewed. The wrestler took to social media to share the news with a message of gratitude to all those who have supported her inside and outside the company.
"Today I tell you that my time at WWE ID is coming to an end, as I have been informed that my contract will not be renewed. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities, memories, and people I have met along this journey. Thank you to everyone who has supported me during this time, it means a lot to me. As for the next stage, I'm ready to meet you all! (Once I give birth, of course)," wrote Rae on her X account.
Rae was hired in late 2024 as part of the WWE ID project. A program through which the company can partner with select training schools and independent wrestlers to establish a potential path to WWE. The program also features exclusive championships, with Rae being the inaugural women's champion.
In addition to her involvement in the independent scene as part of the WWE ID project, Rae also became a prominent figure in WWE Evolve programming. However, the wrestler was forced to step away from the ring after announcing she was pregnant. As a result, she vacated the WWE ID Championship and was removed from the television tapings of WWE Evolve.
