WWE has held a new weekly episode of Friday Night SmackDown, this time from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The show featured a series of matches and moments, highlighting the open challenge by Sami Zayn.
The United States Champion has been defending the title in recent weeks, and this could not be an exception. To the surprise of those present, Shinsuke Nakamura answered the challenge and presented himself as the title contender. In a solid match, Nakamura did not make things easy for the United States Champion. Sami Zayn tried to finish the job unsuccessfully on several occasions, with Nakamura dodging his opponent's final maneuvers at the last moment.
In the final moments, both wrestlers went to ringside. Upon returning, with Sami Zayn close to a ten count, Nakamura greeted him with the Kinshasa, followed by a three count that did not reach the end because Sami Zayn put his foot on the bottom rope.
Nakamura tried one last attempt, but was pulled out to ringside by a hooded figure, who turned out to be Tama Tonga with a painted face. He was joined by Tanga Loa, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga, all of them also painted. The group ended up with both wrestlers until Solo Sikoa decided to enter the ring. The MFT ended the segment posing for the camera.
This was Shinsuke Nakamura's first appearance since June on SmackDown, where he competed in a King of The Ring tournament qualifying match against Cody Rhodes, Andrade, and Damian Priest. Since then, he had stayed away from the programming until today.
WWE confirmed Shinsuke Nakamura as the headliner for the upcoming tour that WWE will carry out on October 17 and 18 in Tokyo, Japan. On the second day, he will be part of the main event when he joins the team formed by CM Punk and Jey Uso to face Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.
Regarding the members of MFT, WWE has been showing vignettes in recent weeks about a change in the group. Solo Sikoa led these videos, praising the figure of his companions. Tama Tonga had been absent in recent months due to injury.
