Jin Tala, whose real name is Leigh Laurel, has spoken for the first time after her recent release from WWE. The young prospect was part of the NXT development program and had also competed in EVOLVE, but she was included in the latest wave of departures. Upon hearing the news, many fans have shown their support for her and find WWE's decision inexplicable.

Through a message posted on Instagram, Laurel shared a heartfelt reflection on her time in the company and what it meant for her to fully dedicate herself to professional wrestling: "I've been trying to find the right words to talk about my recent departure. Before WWE, I was always someone with many hobbies, but without a true passion. With the contract in my hands, I thought: 'What if this was what I was missing?' I found my passion and I gave myself completely to it".

The former superstar explained that what truly captivated her was not just the physical aspect of wrestling, but its emotional and psychological part: "I was fascinated by the psychology, the emotions that wrestlers can express and that the audience can feel".

She also highlighted her evolution in the last few months at the Performance Center: "I knew I had weaknesses, so I gave 110%. My promos showed more range, my new fighting style reflected aggressiveness, and I think everyone could see it. For me, that was already a victory".

Regarding her departure, Laurel was honest but optimistic: "Maybe it was just a matter of time, or perhaps they simply didn't see what I see in myself. At the end of the day, the only person I have to prove my worth to is myself. I'm not going to give up. Jin Tala may have ended, but Leigh Laurel has always been a fighter".

Her last match took place on October 4th at an house show of NXT in Gainesville, Florida, where she lost to Tyra Mae Steel. In EVOLVE, her final encounter was in July, when she fell to Kali Armstrong in a match for the Women's Championship.
