At noon today, WWE held a new edition of Monday Night Raw, this time from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The company offered several moments and matches of interest, highlighting the Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and Penta.
It was the first match of the event, which took place after the presentation of Seth Rollins and his group. The action started quickly, with Dominik Mysterio landing on the American commentators' table after being thrown by his opponent in an acrobatic way. The match was very even, with Dominik Mysterio not backing down from his opponent. In fact, Mysterio managed to escape a three count after receiving the Penta Driver.
In the final moments, Rusev made his appearance on the ramp and Penta threw himself at him towards ringside. Dominik Mysterio took advantage of the distraction of the referee to leave one of his titles on the mat. The referee picked up the belt, but Mysterio took the opportunity to pull a hammer from his boot to use it against Penta, and then apply the 619 and the Frog Splash for the three count.
Prior to the match, Rusev had a confrontation with Penta backstage over their recent disputes. Mysterio watched the scene from afar and decided to walk away from the place.
Dominik Mysterio remains champion and has held the title for 173 days. He won the title at WrestleMania 41 after defeating Bron Breakker, Finn Bálor, and Penta in a triple threat match. Since then, he has paraded with the Championship and defended it against opponents like AJ Styles, El Grande Americano, and Rusev.
