The creative plans of WWE for Survivor Series may have been drastically altered after the possible injury of Seth Rollins. The world champion was seen in Perth with his arm in a sling after his demanding match at Crown Jewel, which has raised all alarms within the company.
Although WWE has not yet issued an official medical report, several sources indicate that the situation may have forced a sudden change in creative direction. Rollins appeared on Monday Night RAW, but was attacked by his own group, The Vision, in a surprising turn that involved Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. However, the changes could go far beyond what was seen on television.
According to Fightful on their Patreon channel, the company would have decided to discard their initial plans for the WarGames matches at Survivor Series. "Regarding what was or was not planned, we will get more details over time. Last week, when Wrestling Observer reported on the Survivor Series WarGames plans, we were told that that card only had one option. Today, after what happened, they confirmed to us that it has been practically discarded," the outlet reported.
This suggests that WWE may be restructuring the event to adapt to Rollins' situation, either by reducing his physical involvement or temporarily taking him out of action. Since WarGames matches usually involve a high level of physical demand, his possible injury would make it unfeasible to maintain the original plans.
The truth is that Wrestling Observer's approach seemed a bit out of the ordinary, with CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and another member facing off against Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory. Theory's inclusion hinted at a possible appearance at Crown Jewel, but that ultimately did not happen.
