Last weekend, WWE carried out a wave of releases in its developmental area, with more than a dozen talents being informed that their contracts would not be renewed, or directly being fired. Among those affected were some names that surprised fans a lot, such as Wes Lee and Stevie Turner, who regularly appeared on NXT television programming (including WWE Evolve).

Turner was the one who announced her departure with a brief message on her social media. "My time in WWE has come to an end. I have had wonderful moments and I am very excited about the future. See you soon!", wrote the British wrestler on her X account.

Today, four days after that, Turner has returned to social media to share her feelings about this situation. Stevie made it clear that her dismissal has not affected her passion for the business. Not only that, but she also feels excited about the idea of competing in a ring again. Additionally, she also had emotional words for Hana Kimura, her partner in Tokyo Cyber Squad, who sadly passed away in 2020.

"I wanted to take a few days to process my feelings and be able to convey a sincere message; I am overwhelmed by the affection and I am so, so incredibly proud of everything I did as Stevie Turner. From working in NXT UK in my hometown, London, to leaving everything behind and flying to the other side of the world to fulfill one of the great goals of my life: moving to NXT Orlando," she wrote.

"I was 4D, a streamer, made history in the first match between TNA and NXT, and became Prime Minister of Evolve. I loved every second of everything I did, and although I didn't have the easiest path, I am proud to have always given 100% in everything that came my way," she stated.

"I have no regrets, I have not lost my love for this," she continued. "I only have a heart full of gratitude and hope for what is to come. I am excited to continue working on the film 'Welcome to Paradise' with Crucible Films and show what I can bring to the world of dubbing/acting. And, of course, I am looking forward to lacing up my wrestling boots again."

"My only wish is that, with everything I have done, I have managed to make my deceased teammate, Hana Kimura, proud, because without her, I would never have had the confidence to fight for my dreams," Turner concluded.

With her departure, Stevie Turner ends a four-year period in WWE. During this time, the British wrestler worked for NXT UK, NXT USA, and, most recently, WWE Evolve, where she was named the Prime Minister of the brand. This is a position similar to that of General Manager, which she still holds in the episodes of Evolve today, as they were recorded before her release.
