The situation of Andrade El Idolo is once again generating speculation among fans after his sudden departure from WWE and his subsequent -equally brief- return to AEW. According to Fightful Select, several sources close to the wrestler have confirmed that Andrade is feeling "in good spirits", although he has not offered any explanation for his recent absence on television or for the last-minute canceled appearances.
Since his brief return during the special anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite, there has been absolute silence. "Everything has become extremely quiet," noted one of the sources consulted by the outlet. Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that Andrade remains under contract with AEW.
The same report suggests that his current pause is not motivated by internal conflicts with the company. In fact, the situation is described as something that is "not directly the fault of AEW or Andrade," which suggests that there may be external factors behind his unexpected temporary retirement.
The uncertainty increased even more after the cancellation of his match against LA Park at the Mucha Lucha Atlanta event scheduled for October 26 was confirmed. The organization announced through social media that Andrade will not participate and that his spot will be filled by a match between Mascarita Sagrada and Demus. No official reason has been given for the change.
This move came just days after his surprise reappearance in AEW, where he was seen joining the Don Callis Family. The coincidence of dates has fueled theories among fans, who wonder if the commitment to AEW influenced the cancellation or if there is some other reason behind it. For now, the mystery remains unsolved and the immediate future of Andrade El Idolo continues to be a mystery both inside and outside the ring.
