WWE would have sent a cease and desist letter to AEW regarding Andrade

That would be the main reason why Andrade hasn't appeared on television again

Andrade has not reappeared in any independent promotions either

The mystery of Andrade's absence in All Elite Wrestling and other promotions may have been solved early this morning. According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Andrade did indeed have to fulfill a 90-day clause with WWE, contrary to what had been reported after his departure. Apparently, WWE sent a cease and desist letter to AEW, which is why Andrade has not been used on screen anymore.

Apparently there is something related to Andrade's non-compete clause with WWE... I got the impression that it could be something that gets resolved quickly or something that could take some time to resolve, but it's related to the non-compete clause. When he was released, let's remember that we were told that WWE didn't care," Bryan Alvarez stated.

What I've been hearing is that WWE sent a letter and AEW obviously didn't know about it. AEW believed that there was no non-compete clause.

"There were people who spoke with folks in WWE who also believed there was no non-compete clause, but apparently WWE says, you know, that's the story: he can't work for them for 90 days," Dave Meltzer added.

Andrade already had a confrontation with Dave Meltzer, after his debut on October 1, due to some statements made by the journalist about Andrade's departure from AEW two years ago. "@davemeltzerWON You talk too much without evidence, and sir, I'll just tell you one thing: when my contract with AEW ended, I personally went, man to man, to thank Mr. Tony Khan for the opportunity to be in AEW. That's all I'll say. If I wanted to say more, I'd prove you wrong on many things. But you keep killing the business. I wish you the best!".

If confirmed, it's hard to believe that such a serious matter, like the existence of a contract with WWE, was not taken into account before Andrade made his return to AEW. We hope to have more information on this matter in the coming days.
