Jeff Hardy once again showed why he remains one of the most fearless wrestlers in the world at TNA Bound For Glory 2025. During the emotional Tables Match between the Hardy Boyz and Team 3D, the younger brother executed a Swanton Bomb from the top of a ladder directly onto D-Von Dudley. The spectacular moment ended with the Hardy's victory, but also with a painful consequence for Jeff.

In his podcast The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy provided an update on his brother's condition, confirming that Jeff suffered a deep cut to the back of his head that required immediate medical attention.

Yes, Jeff had a large wound on the back of his head that had to be closed with glue. They could have used stitches, but in the end they opted to glue it.

The most impressive detail, however, was that Jeff had deliberately adjusted his jump to avoid causing serious harm to his opponent. "Looking back, I think Jeff didn't want to crush D-Von when he landed, so he calculated the move to fall a bit short. He sacrificed himself to make it easier for D-Von," added his brother.

Despite the injury, the Hardy Boyz emerged victorious in what was Bully Ray and D-Von's final match, as they officially bid farewell to the ring after the bout.

The Hardys renew with TNA in the short term

In the same episode of his podcast, Matt Hardy addressed rumors about the brothers' contractual situation with TNA. Although he didn't confirm it directly, he suggested that they may have already signed an extension, although not a long-term one.

"We might have already renewed: who knows. I wouldn't say for 10 years, no. I don't think you could convince me of that unless you gave me money from Saudi Arabia," Matt joked. "Most likely it's a couple more years, that's what we've been talking about and what we're doing."

The comment made it clear that the Hardy Boyz are not seeking long-term contracts at this stage of their careers. They prefer flexible agreements that allow them to remain active, but without committing long-term. Nevertheless, their commitment to TNA remains strong, and their presence continues to be a pillar of nostalgia, respect, and veteran leadership within the company.
