All Elite Wrestling held a new edition of WrestleDream tonight, an event that featured great matches and standout moments. One of the main points was the "title vs. title" match where Mercedes Moné defeated Mina Shirakawa, capturing the ROH Women's Interim Television World Championship and earning her eleventh title.
The match started with Mina Shirakawa taking the initiative, mocking Mercedes Moné and quickly executing a Leg Sweep. However, "The CEO" responded with her aggressiveness, chaining a Crossface, Backstabber, and Lungblower to take control. Although Moné managed to hit three Amigos followed by a Meteora, Shirakawa showed her resilience by countering a Frog Splash with her knees and immediately striking back with a Suplex.
The battle escalated with Shirakawa focusing on Moné's leg, attacking with a Slingblade from the corner and delivering her Glamorous Driver but it wasn't enough. After failing in the submission attempt, Moné countered with a Lungblower and a Meteora on the edge of the ring. In the most intense moments, both wrestlers resorted to cheating, with Moné using an eye poke and seeking illegal leverage on the ropes, while Shirakawa unsuccessfully tried the Figure Four Leglock.
The conclusion came after Moné applied the Money Maker, which was broken by Shirakawa. Following a sequence of quick pins and a new cheat by Moné leveraging the ropes unseen by the referee, "The CEO" secured the victory and the ROH Women's Interim Television World Championship. But her celebration was immediately interrupted by Kris Statlander, the Women's World Champion, who attacked Moné, forcing her to flee the ring.
