WWE once again complicates Andrade's plans on the independent circuit.

The Mexican wrestler couldn't get into the World Wrestling Council ring this weekend

Andrade "El Ídolo" continues to face complications stemming from his confusing contractual status with WWE. Despite being officially released weeks ago, some reports indicate that the wrestler may still be under contract, which has caused new issues in fulfilling independent commitments.

One of those commitments was his participation in the World Wrestling Council (WWC) event in Puerto Rico, where he was scheduled to compete for the Universal Championship. According to the report, Andrade is indeed on the island, but was not authorized to compete in the match. Nevertheless, he reportedly tried to fulfill his appearance by engaging in other activities within the show to not disappoint the organizers or the fans.

This new setback adds to the chaotic situation Andrade has been facing since his return to AEW earlier this month, after which WWE allegedly issued a legal notice

For now, Andrade remains silent about his future, although his presence in Puerto Rico shows that he is still trying to keep his word with the promoters who hired him before the conflict erupted.

It is worth noting that controversy erupted this week when it was leaked that WWE, under the umbrella of TKO Group Holdings, is allegedly offering new contracts with clauses that could be considered abusive, as they do not allow their wrestlers to compete in another nationally televised promotion for a year.
