Mercedes Moné continues to make history as the wrestler with the most championships held simultaneously. "The CEO" completed a weekend to remember by successfully defending her CMLL Women's Championship and then winning the ROH Women's World Television Interim Championship at AEW WrestleDream, as well as the WPW (Winnipeg Pro Wrestling) Women's Title.

However, the more gold she adds to her waist, the more criticism arises towards a formula that many accuse of harming the independent scene. Indeed, many fans believe that Moné does more harm than good to the promotions from which she "snatches" their women's championship, as "The CEO" will hardly be able to defend it, if she does at all. Thus, this "Belt Collector" story would be a mere excuse to accumulate gold for the historical records of the business.

Nevertheless, there are those who believe the opposite. In fact, many promoters have welcomed Mercedes' presence in their shows and her coronation as the top champion, receiving in return greater international exposure. This was explained by Devin Bray, WPW promoter, in statements to POST Wrestling.

"Obviously, Mercedes has added a lot of prestige and excitement. I would say that we attracted a couple of hundred more people who didn't know we existed, who live here and are wrestling fans. So, this has taken us to a completely new level," Bray said.

Bray also commented on how he managed to have "The CEO" be part of Rumble in the Bert, the event that the Canadian promotion held this weekend, where the wrestler won her twelfth championship. "I saw her tweet a couple of months ago something like 'I want to go to Canada'. And I thought: 'damn, if she's saying that, I'm going to try it, let's see what happens'," he explained.

With twelve titles in her possession (including the Queen of the Southside Championships and the Owen Hart Foundation tournament winner title, which are not defended), Moné is already thinking about her next goal, which is none other than the AEW Women's World Championship. "The CEO" directly targeted Kris Statlander after AEW WrestleDream, making it clear that her main goal is still the company's top gold. So far, the company has not confirmed the match, which would take place at AEW Full Gear.
