The future of Britt Baker continues to be one of the hottest topics in the current news of All Elite Wrestling. Every new piece of information and every comment from the wrestler are scrutinized with great interest by fans, many of whom believe that the former World Champion is close to leaving the company and possibly signing with WWE.

Just a few days ago, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer pointed out that Baker had removed all references to AEW from her profiles, which could be an indication of an imminent departure from the company. Today, Tony Khan has denied this information during an interview with Z100 New York.

"Britt Baker, Doctor Britt Baker, D.M.D. What a great star she has been in AEW. Doctor Britt Baker continues to be a fantastic, fantastic wrestler. She has been away from AEW for a while, but she is still very much present among us and, at some point - hopefully soon - I would love to see Doctor Britt Baker return," Khan said.

In a previous interview, Khan explained that Baker's absence was due to a lack of space for her in the company's television programming. The AEW president acknowledged that having a large roster prevents many of their talents from standing out, comparing this situation to a sports team where players rotate over time.

"Britt is a great example of someone very talented that we could use in AEW when the situation and the right moment arise. Just like in professional sports, having talented people who are not starting in every game now doesn't mean they won't in the future," Khan said at that time.

Britt Baker and her recent years in AEW

Despite being one of the most important female wrestlers in AEW's early days, Baker has barely been featured in the company's programming in the last two years due to a series of injuries. In fact, in 2024, she only competed five times. This is compounded by a series of controversies backstage with colleagues like Thunder Rosa and even with MJF's girlfriend (now wife). Additionally, last March, Britt deleted all her references to the company on her social media.

Baker has not appeared on AEW's television programming throughout 2025, and while some media outlets believe her contract with the company expires in 2026, it would be feasible for both parties to agree to end their relationship prematurely, as has recently happened with other talents like Ricky Saints or Rey Fenix. However, based on Tony Khan's statements, this may not happen.
