The emotional segment started with Sol Ruca and Zaria in the ring, where Ruca, tearfully, revealed that she suffered a serious injury on SmackDown. The double champion confirmed that she doesn't have medical clearance to compete at Halloween Havoc and that, to not hold back the division, she would make a tough decision about her championships.

The situation escalated when Blake Monroe interrupted, claiming the Women's North American Championship for herself, arguing that as the original challenger, the title should be hers. Zaria strongly opposed, making it clear that in NXT titles are not handed out without a fight. Finally, Sol Ruca intervened and, citing the effort she put into winning the gold, designated Zaria to defend the championship on her behalf.

General Manager Ava accepted Sol Ruca's proposal, making the Women's North American Championship match between Zaria and Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc official. The segment ended decisively when Zaria surprised Blake Monroe with an F-6, raising the title over her rival to conclude the confrontation.
