Axiom and Jasper Troy advance to the next round of the Speed Tournament on WWE NXT

The edition of WWE NXT tonight continued advancing in the stories towards Halloween Havoc with several key matches and segments. In addition, the Speed Tournament began, which will determine the challenger for the Speed Championship, currently held by El Grande Americano.

The Speed Tournament started its first round with two high-paced matches. In the first encounter, Jasper Troy faced Zachary Wentz. Despite Wentz dominating the aerial action with a spinning tope and a Swanton Bomb, Troy managed to stop the opponent's offense in mid-air and capitalized with a powerful Black Hole Slam to secure the victory by a count of three.

The second match saw Axiom facing "Super" Sean Legacy in a fast-paced duel full of aerial maneuvers. After an intense exchange of suplexes and kicks, Axiom managed to dodge a 450 splash from Legacy to take control. The Spanish wrestler ended the match with a Spanish Fly executed from the top rope, securing the victory in a very intense match.

With the results of tonight, Axiom and Jasper Troy become the first qualifiers and will face each other in the next round of the Speed Tournament. The winner of this decisive match will advance to officially challenge El Grande Americano for his Speed Championship.
