The legend of the independent circuit Nick Gage is currently undergoing treatment and has been removed from all his future commitments, as confirmed by his longtime friend and GCW founder, Brett Lauderdale. The news was shared by the promoter himself through X, with the aim of clarifying the rumors that had been circulating about the wrestler's condition.

In a series of posts, Lauderdale explained that Gage has been in treatment for several weeks and that he will not return to the ring in the near future. He also assured that all promoters who had made deposits for upcoming events will be compensated.

Nick Gage will not be attending any shows for the time being. He is currently in treatment (and has been for several weeks) and plans to remain there indefinitely. Promoters who have made deposits will be refunded as soon as possible. There will be a direct update from Gage himself when the time is right. Thank you to all who have shown their support.

Last August, Gage himself announced that he was stepping away from GCW, although he considered it his home and maintained his friendship with Lauderdale. At that time, he expressed interest in exploring new projects such as podcasts and blogs, in addition to confirming that he had gone through rehabilitation after missing the 2024 Homecoming event.

Lauderdale's message aims to calm speculation and, at the same time, convey support to one of the most influential names in modern independent wrestling. For now, Nick Gage's future will be focused on his personal recovery, with the promise to communicate directly with his fans when he is ready to do so.
