NXT Deadline 2025 already has a confirmed date and location. During the broadcast of the Halloween Havoc event, WWE officially announced that the last Premium Live Event of the year for the developmental brand will take place on Saturday, December 6 at the Boeing Center at Tech Port, in San Antonio (Texas), the hometown of Shawn Michaels, current Vice President of Talent Development and creative mind behind the brand.
Tickets for Deadline will go on sale this Wednesday, consolidating an event that closes out 2025 for NXT and will serve as the starting point for the new rivalries that will shape the course of New Year's Evil next January.
As has been customary since its debut in 2022, Deadline will feature both versions of the Iron Survivor Challenge, for both men and women. In this format, five superstars compete for 25 minutes to accumulate the most points through submission, pinfall, or disqualification. Each participant who receives a point against them must endure a 90-second penalty inside a 'penalty box', while the clock continues to run. The winner will be the one with the most points at the end of the time limit.
"Deadline has become the most unpredictable event on the NXT calendar, where young talent shows who deserves the next big push towards the championship," stated a WWE release.
The 2024 event crowned Oba Femi and Giulia as the winners of their respective editions of the Iron Survivor Challenge. Both would turn their victories into title opportunities that defined their time in NXT: Femi captured the NXT Championship shortly after, while Giulia became the Women's Champion before moving up to the main roster, where she currently holds the title of United States Champion.
