With Seth Rollins out of action due to injury and stripped of the Heavyweight World Championship, CM Punk will face Jey Uso this weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event to crown a new champion.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, former wrestler and analyst Tyrus expressed his opinion that Punk should focus on helping the new generations instead of trying to reclaim the top spot as champion. "I think Punk is at a point in his career where titles should no longer be his priority. He should be mentoring the young talent, helping those who are coming up," he stated.

Tyrus took the opportunity to mention that Punk himself gave him a chance when few others would. "I have a lot of respect for him. He gave me a title shot on Raw when others wouldn't. I will always be grateful to him. But there comes a time to shift the focus. And who better than him to do it," he added, citing Chris Jericho's work in AEW as an example. "Jericho has managed to elevate many talents there. I believe there comes a point where it's not about collecting belts."

Like Jericho, Punk has also been collaborating with the WWE Performance Center, where he shares his experience with aspiring wrestlers. Both considered leaders of their generation, they have made a profound impact on those looking to make their way in the business.

CM Punk had already secured his shot at the Heavyweight World Championship after winning a contenders match, while Uso earned his spot by prevailing in a battle royal on Monday Night Raw. The event could mark a new chapter in Punk's career, although not everyone believes he should be the one to lift the title.
