Drew McIntyre will continue to be one of the main figures in WWE for several more years. According to Fightful Select, the Scottish wrestler signed a new contract extension in the spring of 2024, ensuring his stay in the company until at least WrestleMania 2028.

The deal, valued at several million dollars per year, was reportedly closed almost at the last minute, as negotiations dragged on until the final moments. Even Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson publicly congratulated McIntyre on his renewal, highlighting his importance within the company's roster.

Sources close to the process indicated that McIntyre's contract has an approximate duration of four years, of which there are still about two and a half years remaining. The exact figure has not been confirmed, but it is one of the most lucrative agreements among the talents of the brand.

Fightful Select has obtained some details about Drew's contract. In addition to amounting to several million dollars per year, we have also been informed that he has about two and a half years left. That would take Drew until 2028. We cannot confirm it with certainty, but we have been hinted that it is a four-year contract, which would take him at least until WrestleMania 2028.

Before signing with WWE, McIntyre had shown interest in working for Juggalo Championship Wrestling during his time on the independent circuit, although that plan never materialized. At the time, he acknowledged having heard good references about the company's treatment of its wrestlers. The information from Fightful comes after Vince Russo offered McIntyre to work for JCW.
