Adam Cole was forced to leave the wrestling ring after suffering a concussion. In an emotional promo before AEW All In Texas, Cole announced that he would take a break to recover physically, while vacating his TNT Championship. Among tears, the wrestler was comforted by his Paragon teammates, in a gesture that raised alarms.

It was later confirmed by outlets like Fightful that the wrestler had been removed from action after experiencing side effects from that concussion. Since then, little else has been known, except that Cole is not part of the company's immediate plans, as explained in a recent report by Sean Ross Sapp.

"I can't and shouldn't reveal too much, but the last time I asked, I was told he was still dealing with the effects of the concussion he suffered. For now, there are no plans for his return, and he hasn't been mentioned in any creative plans. Tony Khan really likes him and wants to keep him as part of AEW for as long as possible. He hasn't been on tour either, which would probably slow down his recovery," wrote the Fightful journalist.

Adam Cole's time in All Elite Wrestling has been a real rollercoaster. This journey has alternated great moments like his friendship/enmity story with MJF or his strong connection with the fans, with forgettable moments like his unfortunate ankle injury (which required surgery) and his recent concussion, which will keep him out of action for an indefinite period.
