The Blood And Guts matches that will take place next Wednesday already have their defined advantage. Last night, during the broadcast of the most recent episode of AEW Collision, the last matches took place to determine which teams will have the numerical advantage in the brutal battles that are about to come.
After Megan Bayne's victory over Mina Shirakawa in the last episode of AEW Dynamite, Jamie Hayter and Harley Cameron arrived at the Collision show with the obligation not to fail. Hayter was the first to face her opponent, Skye Blue, whom she managed to defeat in a disputed match. With this victory, the score was tied at one and, therefore, a tiebreaker match was necessary, which did not take long to take place.
After an altercation involving the participants of Blood And Guts and their respective allies, Cameron and Thekla faced off in the third -and decisive- match. "The Toxic Spider" showed no mercy to her opponent, whom she did not hesitate to punish with the help of the ropes, and even against the ground at ringside. Harley managed to muster strength to make things difficult for the Austrian, but a spear ended her resistance. Thus, Thekla's team will have the advantage next Wednesday.
Jon Moxley and Roderick Strong faced off in the main event of AEW Collision in the tiebreaker match that would determine the advantage in the Men's Blood And Guts. The intense match saw a determined Moxley punishing his opponent, whom he targeted his left knee to create an easy path to victory. However, Strong did not give up.
Roderick's resistance led the rest of the Death Riders members (Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Daniel Garcia) to intervene in the match to facilitate Moxley's victory. However, Kyle O'Reilly and Strong himself made sure to thwart all their plans.
Ultimately, Roderick executed a chokeslam on Jon onto the metal stairs before returning to the ring. The referee began the count of ten. Moxley managed to stand up, but he was unable to return to the ring as something had trapped one of his legs. Thus, the count reached ten and the victory fell on Strong's side.
Furious, PAC looked under the ring skirt, at which point an electric shock threw him back. At that moment, Darby Allin came out, revealing himself as the cause of Moxley's defeat. Armed with an electric taser, Allin drove away the heels, whom he will face again in Blood And Guts.
Blood and Guts is a type of match similar to WarGames. Two teams face off in a battlefield composed of 2 rings inside a large steel cage. One competitor from each team starts the fight while the rest of the participants join the battle at intervals, so one team will have the numerical superiority momentarily throughout this phase. The match officially begins when all 10 participants are inside the structure. Victory can only be achieved by submission or surrender.
